Par-grilled makchang vs par-grilled premium makchang: what's the difference?

The par-grilled makchang came out in a round shape. Its surface carried a briquette-grill aroma with a subtle smoky note, crisp on the outside and springy-chewy inside, building layers of savory flavor with every bite.

The par-grilled premium makchang came in a square shape, thicker than the regular one. Biting in, the chewy texture held its structure while the fat's richness melted through with each chew, leaving a clean, lingering aftertaste.

Spicy clam wine stew for 6,000 won

The spicy clam wine stew (ttaengcho baekhap suljjim) has a makgeolli-based broth loaded with baekhap clams.

The broth was sweet with deep clam umami, and adding cheongyang chili peppers brought a spicy kick — the pairing with makchang was incredible.
