Where is Min Cook Dasima near Hwajeong Station, and where do you park?
Today's post is about dinner at Min Cook Dasima (민쿡다시마), a sushi place near Hwajeong Station in Goyang. It's a 3-minute walk from Exit 1 of Hwajeong Station, and since it's right next to the building with E-mart, it seemed perfect for grabbing dinner after shopping.
There's no dedicated parking lot, but you get 1 hour free at the E-mart next door instead. It's a great combo course — hit E-mart, then swing by here. Just make sure to register your parking on the way out after your meal.
Min Cook Dasima is on the 2nd floor of the building.

I heard it's been featured as a Blue Ribbon restaurant and even a Hundred-Year Store! That made me even more excited. Goyang Pay is accepted for payment, by the way!
Inside Min Cook Dasima: seating and layout
Here's the interior. It's a wide, comfortable space with big windows on the side giving a good view, and there are quite a lot of tables so it'd work well for groups too! Since the space is spacious, the tables are spread apart nicely for a relaxed meal.

Min Cook Dasima menu and how to order
You order by scanning a QR code, and the menu ranges from set meals with light sides to sushi, rice bowls, noodles, and even sashimi. Prices weren't intimidating either, which was nice. We ordered the sushi set and the sake-don set.

And I heard they give you 3 pieces of shrimp tempura if you leave a Naver or Google review, so we jumped right into that review event.

While we waited for the food, delivery riders kept coming in and it seemed like they were taking a lot of takeout orders too. If you want takeout, just check the menu board.

At the self-serve bar, there were plates, spoons, forks, scissors, and sauces all set up.

The egg porridge that arrives first
Right after ordering, a warm egg porridge came out as a light starter before the meal. I was hungry, so this was exactly what my stomach needed!

- Sushi set (초밥정식) — ₩25,000
- Sake-don set (사케동정식) — ₩18,000

What comes in the 25,000-won sushi set?
The sushi set comes with 9 pieces of sushi, salad, braised eel, chawanmushi (savory steamed egg custard), three kinds of tempura, and a warm miso soup.
There's tuna, salmon, flounder, sea bream, soy-marinated shrimp, inari sushi, and even a futomaki roll with shrimp tempura inside. The sashimi on top of the sushi was thick-cut and fresh. No fishy taste, just clean flavor — I was worried 9 pieces might not be enough, but it turned out to be just right.

Since it's a set meal, it's nice to have sides to go with it — the braised eel had that sweet-savory flavor I liked, and the salad was fresh with crispy, tasty tempura alongside.

Sake-don set: a bowl full of raw salmon
The sake-don set is a salmon rice bowl with cabbage salad, three kinds of tempura, chawanmushi, and miso soup.

I really love salmon normally, and they piled the raw salmon on generously! It got nuttier the more I chewed, and the rice was seasoned just right — with onion and wasabi on top, it was delicious.

Review-event shrimp tempura and the regulars' discount
And here's the shrimp tempura we got from the review event! Crispy with plump, meaty shrimp inside — if you like shrimp tempura, definitely join the review event and get it for free!
On the way out, I noticed there's also a KakaoTalk chat room for Min Cook regulars' discounts you can find through the QR code! Looks like you can get various discount events and coupons there, so if you live nearby, it might be worth joining for the deals. If you're looking for a good sushi restaurant near Hwajeong Station, give this place a try!
