Mochi, cream chapssaltteok (glutinous rice cake), various injeolmi (soybean powder rice cake) portioned into 100g, ssuk ojaengi (mugwort rice cake), chapddeok sandwich, yeongyang chapddeok (nutritious glutinous rice cake), omegi — all kinds of rice cakes you can conveniently freeze. Especially the injeolmi portioned into 100g each seemed super handy since it's just the right amount for one serving. Buying a whole tray is way too much... and if you portion it yourself for the freezer, all the powder coating comes off and you have to clean it up separately again 🥹 So let's just go with the pre-portioned option...

There's such a huge selection of tasty-looking rice cakes that I have no idea what to choose!!!!! Everything looks delicious!!!! I love bread but I also love rice cakes, so I've actually eaten a lot of Tteokmama's rice cakes, and honestly they're all good... I think you can just go with whatever catches your eye.

By the showcase there was jeolpyeon (pounded rice cake), songpyeon, and fruit mochi. Everything from basic red bean jeolpyeon to cute fish-shaped rice cakes! How does pizza sulgi actually taste?

The moment I got home, I ripped straight into Cheongju's pizza sulgi, and honestly... it was delicious? Based on what I saw on Instagram, I expected a strong pizza flavor, but it was milder than I thought, which actually paired well with the plain baekseolgi, and the pizza sauce inside the pizza sulgi pinned down that pizza taste just right. Past-me who bumped it up to 6 pizza sulgi at the last minute... I'm giving myself a huge round of applause. Pizza sulgi is trending in Cheongju right now!
