Gorgonzola pizza and Tuumba pasta at Olivus Compagno, a Sejong
In short
Olivus Compagno Sejong Boram Branch is an Italian restaurant on Sicheong-daero in Boram-dong, Sejong, with a deep burgundy interior. After a Naver reservation and a window table, the order was Cinnamon Pear Gorgonzola Pizza, Tuumba pasta, and skirt steak cream risotto, and the cheese-loaded pizza and the spicy-finish cream pasta stood out most. Olivus Compagno is a solid pick for engagement-invitation gatherings or dates when the mood matters.

A pasta recommendation in Boram-dong, Sejong: Olivus Compagno.

Today I'm bringing an honest review of a Western-style restaurant already buzzing in Sejong for its great atmosphere, Olivus Compagno. This place has been picked for the Blue Ribbon Survey two years running, 2025 and 2026, so I went in with high expectations.

Easy to spot thanks to its striking deep burgundy exterior! Even the sign had that upscale Italian feel.

A mood suited to engagement gatherings and dates
Inside, the soft lighting and wood tables made for a calm, warm atmosphere. Lots of tasteful framed art on the walls to look around at, and the seats weren't cramped either, so it was really easy to chat comfortably. Great for a date, but also for a wedding-invitation gathering or a family meal out — an atmosphere pretty much everyone would like!
We visited after booking via Naver Reservation and were shown to a window table!

You can order conveniently through the pad on the table. There's a wide range — set menus, salads, pasta, risotto, and pizza — so it was easy to pick something to your taste.

They're also running a receipt review event, so make sure to take advantage of that if you visit!

The three dishes we ordered
- ✔️Tuumba pasta
- ✔️Skirt steak cream risotto
- ✔️Cinnamon Pear Gorgonzola Pizza

Cinnamon Pear Gorgonzola Pizza
A must-order if you come to Olivus Compagno — the Cinnamon Pear Gorgonzola Pizza! On a thin, crisp, nutty crust sits sliced pear preserves, a gentle touch of cinnamon, and rich gorgonzola cheese.

The cheese pulls in long stretchy strands, and that nutty, sweet combo is peak sweet-and-salty! Every gorgonzola pizza I've had before was thin with skimpy cheese, but Olivus Compagno's version is loaded with cheese.

Drizzle the honey that comes with it and it feels almost like dessert, but it pairs surprisingly well with pasta too 🍕

Tuumba Pasta
The Tuumba pasta with its thick, delicious sauce! The fettuccine is well coated in a rich cream sauce, with shrimp, mushrooms, and cherry tomatoes mixed in 🍝

It's cream-based but finishes with a surprisingly spicy kick, so it never got heavy — I enjoyed it to the very last bite without getting tired of it 🧡 Next time I come back, I'm definitely ordering the Tuumba again!

Skirt Steak Cream Risotto
A soft cream-based risotto topped with a nicely seared skirt steak. The steak was cooked just right, tender to bite into, and paired perfectly with the rich, nutty cream risotto!

Eating the risotto and the steak together was so good, and I loved that each grain of rice still had bite to it 🤎

You have to ask for pickles
Pickles aren't provided by default — you have to request them! Call staff on the pad, then press the pickle button, and they'll bring them right over. Sweet and tangy, perfect for a mid-meal refresh 👍🏻
Final thoughts
After eating here, it's instantly clear why this place has won the Blue Ribbon two years running! Every dish had excellent ingredient combinations and quality, and the atmosphere was on point too. If you're in Sejong looking for an Italian restaurant with a great mood or a can't-miss pasta and pizza spot, I recommend Olivus Compagno in Boram-dong!
