Today I'm introducing Kkotdwaeji Sikdang, a great pick for a Gyeongsan work dinner too, haha.

My husband and I actually came here a few times before we got married, so being back as part of a visitor campaign felt really nostalgic, haha.
Kkotdwaeji Sikdang Gyeongsan Branch in one line
This is an Oksan-dong pork BBQ spot where they grill thick aged pork belly and their special beef small intestine skewers for you, right up to a hearty beef intestine hot pot. It's located at 1F, 102 Seongam-ro, Gyeongsan-si, Gyeongbuk (786 Oksan-dong), open 12:00 to 23:00 with last order at 22:00, closed every Monday.

What's on the menu at this grill-it-for-you pork restaurant?
Kkotdwaeji Sikdang Gyeongsan Branch grills all the meat for you. Take a good look at the menu — this place really grills it all, haha. One of the best things about a group dinner is not having to grill your own meat... the newest hires are usually stuck grilling and pouring drinks at the same time, poor them, haha.

I snapped a shot of Kkotdwaeji Sikdang from across the street too, haha.
They grill everything for you — I'm planning to try the hot pot next time too, haha.
Where to park at Kkotdwaeji Sikdang Gyeongsan Branch
You can use the dedicated parking lot behind the building, and there's also parking available in the nearby alley. The lot is pretty spacious too — looks like it could fit 20-plus cars, haha.
The 11 side dishes and the reserved-table setup
When we walked in, the owner had already set up our reserved table like this, haha. What's great about those side dishes is that with every single bite of meat, you've got so many options for what to pair it with, haha.

The interior is decorated with posters too, and a lot of the food in them looks delicious, haha.

As a couple, we ordered the mixed pork BBQ platter, Chamisul soju, and Cass beer, haha.

Why Oksan-dong locals book it for Gyeongsan work dinners
Other customers were already seated inside, and there were quite a few large groups, haha.
There's a fridge for storing the meat right in the middle of the restaurant — that day, there seemed to be a group of about 20 people, haha.

Another large group came in too, haha. Kkotdwaeji Sikdang Gyeongsan Branch really seems perfect for a Gyeongsan group dinner, haha.

The interior is very clean, and every menu item can be turned into fried rice! The restrooms inside are also clean and separated by gender, haha.
This is further inside the restaurant — back when we were dating, it never occurred to me to explore further in, but coming as part of the campaign and taking photos of everything, I realized how spacious it is in there, haha. Pretty much the perfect Gyeongsan spot for a work dinner, right? Haha.
The service is so thoughtful I'm grateful... haha, I'll eat well, haha.
There was another room right next to where they grill the meat, haha. So clean and spacious, right?

Mixed pork BBQ platter plus a 3,000-won steamed egg
Back to the food — these 11 side dishes to eat alongside the meat are so good, haha.

The view from our window seat, haha.

I was hungry so I added a steamed egg for ₩3,000, haha. I guess it's my way of signaling that more food is coming in, haha.

The meat came out grilled, haha. Myeoljeot, or is it meljeot — which spelling is right? Anyway, as devoted fermented anchovy sauce fans, we dug in enthusiastically. They grill the pork belly, pork skin, and pork neck to just the right point so you can eat right away — I really love that they grill it just enough, haha.
Sizzling ~ makes me want a bite of meat right now... T.T

They snapped an aerial shot too, and a side shot too, haha — Kkotdwaeji Sikdang Gyeongsan Branch looks delicious from every angle!!
Take a good look at each piece of meat~ oh, and they grill the mustard leaf kimchi alongside it too, which is such a nice touch, haha.
We ate the meat several different ways! It really lives up to being a Gyeongsan pork belly restaurant and a Gyeongsan meat restaurant, haha. Wrapped it in lettuce, ate it with kimchi ~ paired it with the 11 side dishes too, haha.

Finishing with doenjang rice with alcohol
At the end, we ordered one doenjang (soybean paste) rice with alcohol!! It really feels like mixing rice into a genuinely delicious doenjang, haha.
Looks tasty, doesn't it...???? T.T As you can see in the photo below, we scraped the bowl clean.

Our dish-washing duo strikes again ~ proof of a good restaurant is an empty bowl, haha.
