Where is Plan A Restaurant? 4th floor, right in front of Songdo Beach

Plan A Restaurant is a Western restaurant on the 4th floor of a building right in front of Songdo Beach in Pohang. I came out to Songdo Beach, which is quieter than Pohang's Yeongildae but still great for enjoying the sea.

I hadn't had pasta with an ocean view in a while, so I went to Plan A Restaurant. Being on the 4th floor right in front of Songdo Beach, it was a great spot for a meal after a walk along the sea.

Plan A Restaurant hours and break time

Plan A Restaurant's hours were 11:45–21:00. The break time is 15:15–17:00, so it's worth checking before you visit.

Where do you park at Plan A Restaurant?

There were spaces to park both in front of and behind the restaurant. Even coming by car, it wasn't hard to find a spot.

Plan A Restaurant is right in front of Songdo Beach, so the sea was fully visible through the windows. If you're looking for a date course by Songdo Beach in Pohang, this view is probably the first thing that catches your eye.

The weather was great on the day I visited, so the Songdo sea looked even clearer from inside. There was fun in just looking out the window while waiting for the food.

The tables were spaced well apart too, so I could sit without worrying about the next table. It was great for eating slowly while looking at the sea, and it suited a date well.

Plan A Restaurant menu and prices

Plan A was a Songdo Western restaurant where you could pick from pasta, pilaf, and steak all together. Despite being an ocean-view restaurant, the prices were reasonable.

What I ordered was chop steak B 120g for ₩22,000, shrimp rosé pasta for ₩16,000, and beef pilaf for ₩17,000.

Beef pilaf, 17,000 won — Seoga & Cook style

The beef pilaf had generously cut chunks of beef in it. The beef and mushrooms went really well with the fluffy fried rice.

It was a good menu to order alongside pasta when pasta alone feels lacking. Personally I really love Seogaandcook-style pilaf, and this tasted just like it, which made me so happy. I wonder why fried rice at home never tastes like this.

Chop steak A vs B: why we chose the butter-fried B

Plan A Restaurant's chop steak came in A and B versions — A is stir-fried in steak sauce, B is stir-fried in butter. If you like a saltier sauce flavor, A would suit you. We were drawn to the lighter option, so we picked B.

Is 120g of chop steak enough for two?

I worried 120g might not be much, but it came with a generous amount of mushrooms, bell peppers, onion, fries, and salad, so it was more filling than expected. It was also good for sharing across several dishes.

The steak was cooked just right and wasn't tough. Since it was the butter-fried B, I could enjoy the meat's natural flavor.

The two of us ordered three dishes, and we picked the smallest 120g chop steak, but it turned out to be quite a lot — good for sharing.

Shrimp rosé pasta, 16,000 won — shrimp in the sauce too

With so many pasta options, I struggled over what to pick, and since it felt like we'd ordered too many meat dishes, I chose shrimp rosé pasta for the pasta.

The shrimp rosé pasta had not only big whole shrimp but also finely chopped shrimp in the sauce. Shrimp was used generously, so even the sauce alone had great shrimp flavor.

The tomato flavor paired well with the softness of the cream. It tasted different from the rosé I make at home, and I enjoyed it a lot.

The Songdo sea view from inside Plan A Restaurant was so beautiful. Recommended if you're looking for a date course by Songdo Beach in Pohang or an ocean-view pasta spot.
