Daegu hair salon in Sincheon-dong for a chunky hippie perm: Iggeulrida
In short
Iggeulrida is a one-person hair salon on the first floor of the Casamilla officetel shopping arcade by Sincheon Station in Sincheon-dong, Daegu. The writer got a vintage-style hippie perm with thick curls for the first time in six years, a roughly two-hour service in which consultation and styling were handled 1:1 with close attention to hair condition. The finished autumn look holds its curl even when only the roots are blow-dried, making it easy to manage day to day.

My hair had gotten so messy and unmanageable lately.. so I finally went to get it done! I hadn't been styling it properly, just throwing it up in a rough bun, but since fall had arrived I wanted to change up the vibe, so I decided to get a perm for the first time in a while :>
I went back and forth between a hippie perm and an S-curl perm, and this time I decided on a vintage-feeling hippie perm that goes well with fall-! This time I visited Iggeulrida, a hair salon in Sincheon-dong, Daegu near Sincheon Station.
Where is Iggeulrida, and where do you park? (Casamilla arcade by Sincheon Station)
Iggeulrida is located on the first floor of Building 101 in the Casamilla officetel commercial complex, right next to a coin laundromat. I parked out front, but apparently the underground parking lot is also available.

📍 The underground parking lot goes down to B5 and apparently has no time limit, so it's worth knowing if you're driving there. The parking entrance is below Creamy House, across from Iggeulrida, so first-timers should check this beforehand.
Inside Iggeulrida, a one-person salon in Daegu
Iggeulrida's interior had a clean, calm feel overall, and since it's a one-person salon, there was no crowded feeling — I could get my treatment comfortably ✨️

I prefer getting a focused, one-on-one consultation rather than being treated alongside other clients at the same time, so I really liked this part.

Consultation through treatment really was done 1:1, so my hair condition got looked at carefully, which I appreciated.
Hippie perm or S-curl? What the consultation decided
What I was torn between this time was a hippie perm and an S-curl perm. Both are pretty, but lately I wanted a style that's as low-maintenance as possible, so I went with the hippie perm :> This was my first hippie perm in almost.. six years.
I told the stylist I especially wanted a style with rich volume in the morning that falls into shape even with a quick dry. During the consultation, she first carefully checked my current hair condition and quality, then asked what styles I usually like — and instead of just listening to what I wanted, she also suggested what style would suit my face shape and current hair length, which I liked 😊 Super kind. I went with a chunky hippie perm with big, defined curls-!
The chunky hippie perm step by step, and the finished curls
The chunky hippie perm treatment at Iggeulrida took about 2 hours total. After applying the perm solution, the stylist worked according to my hair condition, then finished with heat treatment, neutralizing, and shampooing 💫
She kept checking my hair condition throughout the process, so even the waiting time wasn't uncomfortable. And finally, the finished hair ✨️
Ta-da-! The curls turned out prettier and more voluminous than I expected, so I was happy 🤍
Instead of a tightly curled hippie perm, it had big, chunky curls that kept the vintage feel while still being an everyday-wearable style. Especially with the volume, my hair looked so much fuller than before. And she was clever enough to perm the bangs too..ღ
How to style a hippie perm at home: dry the roots only
This vintage-feeling hippie perm suits the cooler fall weather really well, but what I liked most was the styling method.
She showed me exactly how to dry my hair so the curls come out nicely, and said drying mainly around the roots was enough — maintenance turned out to be way simpler than I expected. For busy modern people, getting both a great style and easy upkeep was such a win ✨️

No need to fuss over reviving every single curl in the morning — even a rough dry keeps the perm's own curl alive. Good-! This time at Iggeulrida, a hair salon in Sincheon-dong, Daegu, I really liked how they gave a thorough consultation before the treatment and considered both my current hair condition and the style I wanted :>

Thanks to the hippie perm's signature vintage feel and the naturally revived volume, my whole vibe changed completely. I got a lot of compliments on my hair from people around me, which made me happy 🥰❤️

My overall image feels a bit more hip and lovable now! If you want to change up your hair for fall, I recommend a hippie perm at Iggeulrida, a hair salon in Sincheon-dong, Daegu :>

I wanted a style with revived volume that's still as easy to style as possible, and in the end I was so satisfied — the maintenance really is super easy..! This hair transformation was a success at giving me that full fall vibe-! I recommend the vintage-style chunky hippie perm at Iggeulrida, a hair salon in Sincheon-dong, Daegu ✨️
