My hair had monthly gray coverage color and a heat perm about two months prior, so the ends were bone dry and frizzy like a broom. The dry weather lately wasn't helping either — I was seriously worried 😭

The location was so convenient! Right across from Starfield Unjeong, it caught my eye immediately even though it was my first visit — super easy to find! 🏢
No need to worry about parking if you're driving! There's plenty of dedicated salon parking on the 2nd floor of the Aju Parking Building, so parking was totally hassle-free.
From the parking lot, it leads straight to the salon entrance — such a smooth flow!
Inside Tthe Art Hair: window seats with a Starfield Unjeong view
The moment I stepped into Tthe Art Hair Unjeong Station Branch, I let out a little gasp 😍 Modern and clean, it felt like walking into a pretty Instagram-worthy café! ☕✨
There's a special corner set up just for heat perm treatments! Instead of a cramped spot with just a mirror like a typical salon, it felt like sitting at a bar table in a trendy café.
Through the floor-to-ceiling window, the Starfield view and blue sky stretched out wide, and I felt zero claustrophobia during the whole treatment — pure open-air healing.
I heard Tthe Art Hair is the only Aveda-brand hair salon in Paju! 🍃 Seeing the Aveda lineup neatly arranged on the display shelves put my eco-friendly-brand-loving heart at ease immediately.
How the 3-step Aveda clinic treatment works
Tthe Art Hair's Aveda clinic is divided into three steps: bond building, oil mixture, and protective seal formation. Time for the real clinic session! 💫
Step 1: bond building, filling the hair from within with steam
Plant-derived ingredients apparently penetrate deep into the hair's cortex! This restorative step firmly reconnects damaged, broken internal bonds, filling the hollow, nutrient-depleted hair with strength from the inside out 🌿✨
Step 2: oil mixture, replenishing oil and moisture with steam
Natural plant oils were applied, followed by another round of warm steam! The moisture, oil, and protein soaked in between the cuticles, and my frizzy hair turned soft and smooth 💧💖
Step 3: protective seal, finished at the shampoo bar
After applying the product, I moved to the shampoo room for the finishing touch! A naturally-derived protective seal locks in the replenished nutrients, protecting hair from heat and UV rays while keeping that silky bounce 🛡️✨
Hand mask and how to use an Aveda scalp brush at home
The shampoo chair was so comfortable I actually took a photo of it 💤 Here's the touching part — during the treatment, they put an Aveda hand mask on me, and by the end my hands were as soft as a baby's ✋
My designer also kindly taught me the proper way to use a scalp brush while shampooing! I'd actually been using an Aveda scalp brush at home already, but never really got the technique right, so I wasn't seeing the full benefit. Since eco-friendly Aveda shampoo has fewer chemical surfactants, it doesn't lather much at home and feels a bit less cleansing — but after trying the brush technique they showed me, the lather was rich and the clean feeling was incredible! ⚡
How my hair felt after the Aveda clinic treatment
After finishing the steam care and shampoo, the blow-dry was complete! The frizz was completely gone, replaced by calm, clean, glowing hair 💖 Running my hands through it, it no longer felt hollow — the nutrients had filled it from within, giving it a wonderfully weighty, soft texture.
