Parking and first impressions at Otters Jisan Saetgang

Otters Jisan Saetgang Main Branch has a large parking lot right in front, so parking was easy :)

The exterior is so cute and pretty, right? 😍 Otter-themed characters are dotted around everywhere, which caught my eye even more. It was decorated so charmingly that it was also great for photos, haha.

Inside the two-story Gumi mega café

Otters is a mega café made up of two floors. The moment I opened the door and stepped in, I was surprised by how much bigger it was than I expected 🫢

There were plenty of seats and the spacing between tables was generous, making it a comfortable place to visit with friends or as a family. Best of all, each space was decorated so nicely that it was fun just to walk around and look at every corner of the café.

The bakery counter: from salt bread to doughnuts

True to its reputation as a bakery café, a wide variety of breads and desserts caught my eye. From salt bread to many kinds of bakery items and doughnuts, the dessert counter was quite large, so it looked like a great place to pick according to your taste 👍

Every doughnut lined up in the showcase looked delicious too. With such colorful visuals and so many types, it took a long while to decide which one to pick~

I also spotted new latte menus made for the autumn season — seasonal-feeling drinks that made me curious how they'd taste.

There was also a microwave and a BALMUDA oven set up so you could warm up your bread. Being able to enjoy the bread you want nice and warm — I loved this thoughtful touch 👍

On one side there's also a Kodak camera. Being able to enjoy delicious desserts and take photos at the café too, it seemed like a great spot to make memories when visiting with friends or a partner.

Second-floor floor seating and photo zone

Let's head up to the 2nd floor.

There were big tables with room enough for group visits, plus shoes-off floor seating for comfortable sitting. It looked like a great option for families too, since it seemed easy to use even when visiting with kids.

Photo zones 📸 I loved that there were so many photo zones scattered throughout the café. With pretty decorated spots all over, it was great to wander the café and take photos along the way 😊

What we ordered: olive ciabatta, two doughnuts and two lattes

The olive ciabatta, with its appealing chewy texture, was cut into easy-to-eat pieces for us.

For doughnuts, we picked the real milk cream doughnut and the crème brûlée doughnut. The real milk cream doughnut had a soft, fluffy shell packed generously with milk cream, savory and sweet at once, while the crème brûlée doughnut combined a crisp outer texture with a soft cream inside. The sweet cream plus that crisp bite made for an appealing combination of two textures at once.

The hot café latte was delicious too, and the butter cream latte, where smooth butter cream met coffee, had a sweet yet savory flavor.

Who is Otters Jisan Saetgang best for?

Otters was a café where I could enjoy a spacious, comfortable setting along with a wide variety of bakery items and doughnuts! With photo zones everywhere too, it was great for taking pictures. It's a solid spot to visit with friends, a partner, or family alike~😊 If you're looking for a mega café in Gumi to spend some relaxed time, I'd recommend it.
