Order through the tablet at your table and a robot delivers the side dishes. It glides over silently and serves quickly — big props to the robot waiter 🤖❤︎

If you need more side dishes or fruit, the self-serve bar has you covered.

One bite of the side dishes and I knew this was a good restaurant.ᐟ The ingredients are so fresh and the seasoning is just right. Not too salty, so it's easy for elders or kids to eat too. The kimchi especially is amazing.ᐟ They serve green onion kimchi★( ˶˙º̬˙˶ ) Green onion kimchi, baek kimchi, and dried radish strips are also sold separately, apparently. Nice touch that there's even dessert oranges at the self-serve bar 🍊

Seafood nurungjitang: scraping the stone pot clean

The staff pours the seafood nurungjitang into the hot stone pot right in front of you.ᐟ

Ahh٩(⌯˃ ▾ ˂⌯)‎و look at that seafood nurungjitang loaded with big chunks of seafood 🦑🦐 the seafood pieces are genuinely huge-★

Can you see it bubbling the second it touches the stone pot — a soup that seems to breathe-??

As it boils away, you need to stir slowly with a ladle so the bottom doesn't burn 🥄

The broth deepens the more it simmers, and the big stone pot filled generously is one serving.ᐟ One spoonful of the hot broth and my whole body melted, my stomach felt at ease — a truly healthy, restorative dish ⑅⭒

A spoonful of nurungjitang with scallops and shrimp

Plump scallops, shrimp, squid, and more — each piece of seafood kept its moist, tender texture ⋆*

The highlight of nurungjitang,, is of course the scorched rice stuck to the bottom of the pot.ᐟ

Scorched rice crust at the bottom of the stone pot

I scraped the pot clean down to the bottom, no leftovers-★ Seafood nurungjitang = a taste you can't leave behind. It felt like a warm, hearty dish that would perk you right up if you're feeling low 🍲🦑

How was the fresh tenderloin tangsuyuk with glutinous rice batter?

The fresh tenderloin sweet-and-sour pork with sticky rice batter comes topped with colorful pineapple, cherry tomatoes, and various vegetables — refreshing and appetizing just to look at 🍍 ̖́-

I'm a dip-not-pour tangsuyuk person(⭒•͈ 𓎺 •͈ ) and even the sweet and tangy sauce is,, excellent.ᐟ.ᐟ With sauce this good, the sticky rice tangsuyuk was even more perfect♥

The tenderloin really lived up to its name (͒˶´⚇`˵)͒ being tenderloin, it's never chewy, but clean-tasting and soft. Honestly, since the nurungjitang is the main event, I didn't expect much from the tangsuyuk,, but the sticky rice version is a real gem-★ It surprisingly went great alongside the nurungjitang too, and I genuinely recommend eating them together.ᐟ Best tangsuyuk I've had in a while-!!

Final verdict on O Hyeongje Hwangje Nurungjitang in Hanam Misa

The chefs at O Hyeongje Hwangje Nurungjitang are seriously skilled, from the side dishes to the mains ₍₍▬⃜⃛╾⸜(′ᵕ‵๑)ྀི It's a clearly different flavor from any nurungjitang I've had before, and one I keep thinking about even after eating — such a satisfying Hanam Chinese restaurant find.。♥

The taste feels like something from an upscale Chinese restaurant, but the price is neighborhood-level, which made it even more satisfying. At this price for this quality of Chinese cooking, it's worth coming a bit out of your way for. If you want to warm up with hot seafood nurungjitang and enjoy delicious tenderloin sticky rice tangsuyuk too, I recommend O Hyeongje Hwangje Nurungjitang in Hanam (*´؂`*)
