Sindorim Korean bar for a pre-show boiled pork set: Mugeunji

Today I'm introducing a Sindorim spot I loved — Korean Suljip Mugeunji (한국술집 무근지). ✨ The menu looked delicious just from reading it, and wow... it was even better in person. Here's my honest review of Korean Suljip Mugeunji :)

Where is Korean Suljip Mugeunji, and what are its hours?

⏰ Hours: 17:00–01:00 📍 Location: near Sindorim Station

Being so close to Sindorim Station, it's a great spot not just for dates or group dinners in the area, but also for a meal before or after a show or musical at Dcube Link Art Center.

Korean Suljip Mugeunji ✨ is an 8-minute walk from Exit 3 of Sindorim Station.

Out front there was a menu board along with news that the restaurant had appeared on the show 'Hibab's Big Eater Table.'

After glancing over the exterior and the menu board, we headed inside.

Inside Mugeunji: atmosphere and seating

Inside Korean Suljip Mugeunji there's a pretty window area with a view out, plus several table seats. Once you step in, you find a lovely interior with a view outside and

several table seats,

and walls covered with autographs from various celebrities. It's less of a noisy pojangmacha (street tent bar) vibe and more of a clean, pleasant Sindorim dinner-and-drinks spot — I think it'd work well for a blind date, a date, or just dinner.

Is there a wait at Mugeunji on a weekday evening?

[Wait time info for Korean Suljip Mugeunji] We came around 5:30pm on a weekday with no reservation, and luckily got seated right away with no wait. But once it hit 6pm, people getting off work started trickling in one by one. (Seems like this place is already known as a Sindorim favorite... haha)

With pancakes, stews, pasta, desserts and more on the menu, there's something for every taste — great for a Sindorim dinner date or a Guro-gu group get-together :)

What two people ordered at Mugeunji, and what it cost

1. Drinks: spring plum highball and zero-sugar cola

After we finished the first two drinks that arrived,

the mains came out pretty quickly.

2. Set menu: boiled pork (suyuk)

Wow... over 20 slices of boiled pork came out, along with cabbage, ssamjang (dipping sauce), salted shrimp, and chili-garlic.

And there was a candle flame right underneath the pork, so it stayed warm the whole time we ate. 💖

Thick slices of pork with radish salad and salted shrimp — so, so good!!

3. Set menu: cheese potato pancake

This one was so good — you absolutely have to order it. Seriously delicious.

It looks like a nicely crisped potato pancake, but when you cut into it, cheese comes pouring out (wow... amazing).

I picked up a piece to eat, and wow — you should see the video below — the cheese stretches on and on...

The crispy pancake with the soft, stretchy cheese was such a great combo that this ended up being our top-pick dish of the night. 💖

We're planning to go back to Korean Suljip Mugeunji, and when we do, we're definitely ordering this cheese potato pancake again. 💖

How big are the portions? (Too much for two)

The portions were way bigger than expected. Honestly, the other menu items looked so good we thought about ordering more, but since we had a musical to catch afterward, we decided to just try the two mains first and add more if needed... turns out we couldn't even finish those two. The boiled pork was thicker and more generous than expected, and the cheese potato pancake was also a big portion. Next time I think we'll come with more people so we can try more of the menu. Haha
