Sindorim bar with big group tables for a college reunion: Mugeunji

Hi everyone 🙂 I'm now nearly halfway through my college reunion meetups and I've been to a lot of places, but I found a really good spot in Sindorim so I wanted to introduce it!

I booked through Naver Reservation, and on weekends it fills up with waits, so I'd recommend reserving ahead.

It's not actually an aged-kimchi (묵은지) restaurant — it's described as "a place where you find comfort with a drink in hand."

Why Mugeunji works for a group night out in Sindorim: big tables and outdoor tent seats

Inside, there's plenty of group seating, so it looked like a great spot for a reunion or a company dinner where lots of people gather. Sure enough, there were a lot of groups visiting, so it really does seem like a popular place for group gatherings 😊 As you can see there are so many group tables — this place is already popular for reunions and company dinners.

That outdoor tent-style vibe 🥹 I feel like drinking here would put you in such a good mood.

What's on the menu at Korean Suljip Mugeunji?

From set menus to pan-fried dishes, single dishes, soups, noodle dishes, fresh dishes, fried dishes, grilled dishes, sides — it's a cooking-bar (요리주점) so the menu was really varied haha. A big plus when you come with a group is that you can pick a bunch of different dishes and share them! With such a wide selection, it's perfect for a big gathering like a reunion or a company dinner.

Signature suyuk (boiled pork)

We ordered the boiled pork, which is basically the signature dish here. It looked amazing from the start — the meat came out sliced thick and really appetizing. Taking a bite, it was tender with a rich, savory meaty flavor, perfect as a drinking snack.

Cheese potato pancake

The cheese potato pancake was really loaded with cheese — crispy, which I loved, and eating it with the chili sauce made it extra savory.

Beef bulgogi daechang (beef intestine) hot pot

Can't skip a soup dish — the beef bulgogi daechang (grilled beef intestine) hot pot. The broth, drawn out from all the vegetables and the daechang bulgogi, tasted like it was meant to cure a hangover!!

When we were almost done, we added more broth and put in knife-cut noodles, which was delicious too. Loaded generously with sweet bulgogi and savory, chewy daechang, we kept spooning up the broth, and the drinks just kept going down. If you want a drink with a warm hot pot, I'd recommend this one!!

Grilled Jeju mackerel

As we were getting fuller, we ordered the grilled Jeju mackerel — it was huge and great for everyone to pick at together, so I'd recommend it as a drinking snack. Best of all, it was seasoned just right 👍🏻 the flesh was thick and moist, so it came apart easily, and it was clean and savory, pairing really well with drinks.

Sea urchin cream pasta

Next was the sea urchin cream pasta — the creamy sauce combined with sea urchin roe made it rich with a smooth, nutty flavor. If you like pasta, this is worth ordering at least once. 🤍

Grilled myeongnan (cod roe)

The nicely browned grilled cod roe was just... wow!! Salty and savory with a subtle smoky char, it went really well as a drinking snack. We ordered it last and enjoyed every bite.

Is Mugeunji a good spot for a college reunion in Sindorim?

My college friends and I always seem to meet up in Sindorim, and this time was a success again. For reunions, talking matters, but eating something delicious together is just as important haha.

If you want to have a drink with great snacks in a nice atmosphere, Mugeunji is worth checking out. Highly recommend it as a Sindorim reunion spot 🙆🏻‍♀️
