My husband and I had some errands to run in Sindorim, and once we finished, we both suddenly got a serious craving for jokbal (braised pig's trotter). We must have been thinking the same thing, because before either of us even finished the sentence, we were already searching for a jokbal place. That's how we ended up at The Jokbal Sindorim. Here's our honest review after trying it ourselves.

Maybe because it was dinner time, but people were already filling up seats out front.

As soon as we walked in and saw how busy it was, I thought, this jokbal must be good. It really seemed like a spot that a lot of people looking for Sindorim jokbal come to.

Ordering by tablet at every table

At The Jokbal Sindorim Main Branch, you can order straight from the tablet at each table. It was nice being able to browse and pick without having to flag down staff.

Tapping into the jokbal menu, the front leg was 47,000 won.

We went with the front leg jokbal plus a Terra and a Chamisul, coming to 57,000 won total.

The front leg jokbal finally arrived, with the glossy skin stacked in layers that made my mouth water just looking at it. I picked up a piece and it was soft and tender, served warm, which I loved.

The more we ate, the more we noticed a subtle aroma coming through, and my husband and I agreed it was the best jokbal we'd had in a while.

Radish kimchi came out alongside, good to alternate with the wraps.

We stopped by on a sudden jokbal craving, and everything was satisfying — the busy atmosphere, the complimentary cold jokbal salad, the tender front leg jokbal. We dipped in shrimp sauce, wrapped it in lettuce, and ended up drinking soju-beer with my husband. I'd recommend The Jokbal Sindorim.
