If you're looking for a spot in Tanbang-dong with good vibes and delicious pasta, pay attention! :) This time I visited a place where you can enjoy a variety of pasta and Western dishes together. The atmosphere was great for dates or meals with friends too, so I was really satisfied. Today I'll give you an honest review of this Tanbang-dong pasta spot, focusing on the dishes I actually tried!

THE MUA in Tanbang-dong: exterior and first impressions
THE MUA, which I visited while searching for good pasta in Tanbang-dong, had a clean, sophisticated feel from the black exterior alone. The overall modern look made it feel suitable for anything from a family meal to a date spot. The interior was naturally visible through the floor-to-ceiling glass, which made it easy to walk in without hesitation even on a first visit.

Inside THE MUA: atmosphere and seating
Inside, you're greeted by a calm and warm space centered on wood-tone tables and chairs. The tables had a decent amount of spacing between them, and there was seating for larger groups too, so it seemed like a good spot for gatherings. The window side let in natural light, making the daytime dining atmosphere a bit brighter and more relaxed. If you're looking for a pasta place in Tanbang-dong with a calm, not-too-noisy atmosphere, this is a space you'd like.

The wine display that sets the Western-restaurant mood
On one side, various wine bottles and glasses were displayed, adding to the distinctive Western-restaurant feel. Wine and small decor pieces were neatly arranged along the wall too, so the space itself wasn't dull and was fun to look around. It seemed like a great place to enjoy a slightly more atmospheric meal with pasta or steak paired with wine :) Overall, the interior was calm and orderly rather than flashy, which made it easy to focus on the food.

The cozy tables at the back of THE MUA
There was also a cozy table set up toward the back. With wood-tone walls and tables paired with soft lighting, it felt even calmer and more atmospheric than the front seats. If you're looking for pasta in Tanbang-dong and value a cozy, comfortable mood, this kind of inner seating would be a good pick.

What we ordered at THE MUA: cream gnocchi and tomato pasta
This time we ordered thick cream sauce gnocchi and tomato pasta. The flavors were distinctly different between the cream and tomato, so alternating between the two made for a pretty great combination. If you're on the hunt for pasta in Tanbang-dong, I'd recommend ordering a few dishes together to share :)

Thick cream sauce gnocchi with mushrooms
The gnocchi, browned to a nice golden color and topped generously with cheese, looked delicious just from the visuals. The cream sauce had a strong mushroom flavor and was quite thick and savory. Each piece of gnocchi was well coated in sauce, so you could really enjoy the creamy taste.

Scooping it up, the outside was browned and crisp while the inside had a soft, chewy texture. Piling on the rich cream sauce made the savory flavor come through even more. This is a dish that not just Tanbang-dong pasta seekers but gnocchi fans in general would enjoy.

Tomato pasta loaded with cherry tomatoes
This pasta had plenty of cherry tomatoes in the tomato sauce, with a generous amount of cheese piled in the center. The tangy yet rich tomato flavor combined well with the soft cheese for a nice balance. Taking a bite after the cream gnocchi felt refreshing, so the two dishes paired well together.

Lifting up the noodles, the tomato sauce had soaked in deeply between the strands, so it was delicious right to the last bite. The sauce was generous too, so the noodles never ended up dry or bland on their own, which I personally liked. If you're looking for pasta in Tanbang-dong and enjoy a rich tomato pasta, this one's worth trying!

The soda ordered on the side
The soda we ordered had a refreshing fizz with a hint of sweetness, which paired nicely with the pasta. Especially with a rich, thick dish like the cream gnocchi, sipping it in between cleared the palate nicely. If you're ordering pasta and gnocchi together, try adding a light, refreshing drink too :)
Is THE MUA worth a visit? Overall thoughts
Overall, it was a place with a cozy atmosphere and satisfying food. Both the pasta and gnocchi had rich, flavorful sauces that were genuinely enjoyable :) If you're looking for pasta in Tanbang-dong, visit for a date or a special meal!
