I finally made it to Frank Coffee Bar, famous for salt bread and financiers. This is one of those places I kept saying 'I'll go, I'll go' every time I passed by, and I happened to be craving it just at the right time — I was so satisfied ⭐️

The coffee here is really good, so a lot of nearby office workers stop by even during lunch hour. Beyond coffee, there's also a good variety of lattes, ades, non-coffee drinks, and smoothies.

Guide to choosing coffee beans by preference

I also liked that you can pick your coffee beans according to your preference.

The salt bread and financier display case, and how to order

On one side of the store is a bakery display case with salt bread, financiers, egg tarts, and more; you pick up a tray, load the bread you want yourself, and take it to the counter to order and pay along with your drink.

There's a bakery section on one side of the store. It felt like all the breads I love were gathered in one place 💗 Salt bread, financiers, egg tarts, and so many other kinds!

Display case with salt bread

I wanted salt bread, but there were so many kinds of salt bread that it took me a while to decide ⭐️ The system is: grab a tray next to the display, load whatever bread you want yourself, then bring it to the counter to order and pay along with a drink.

Self-service mini Balmuda oven

The mini Balmuda oven customers can use freely

There's also a mini Balmuda oven you can use freely. If you like your bread warmed up, you can pop it in to taste it fresh-baked — I really liked that touch ⭐️

There's also a group table that seems great for coming with a crowd :) On a cool day like this, they had the floor-to-ceiling window doors wide open, and with the breeze drifting in, it felt like sitting on a lovely outdoor terrace.

How the pollock roe salt bread, salty caramel financier and raspberry lychee-ade tasted

After a lot of deliberation, I ordered pollock roe salt bread, salty caramel financier, and raspberry lychee-ade :)

Also, if you sign up for alerts on Naver Map, you can get a free espresso Albero coupon, so keep that in mind and use it to save a bit!

A glass of raspberry lychee-ade

First, the raspberry lychee-ade: the tart raspberry and lychee paired well, so it was a win on looks alone. I was thirsty, and the fizz was so refreshing, and it went even better alongside the desserts I had :)

The pollock roe salt bread had a rich, salty pollock roe sauce inside, which is the ultimate sweet-and-salty combo! The outside was crispy and the inside was soft, so the texture was great too, and the hint of nutty butter aroma made it even more satisfying :)

Look at that pollock roe sauce inside, isn't it amazing? 💗

Salty caramel financier topped with caramel coating

Among financiers, the salty caramel financier is my absolute favorite… 💗 The caramel coating on top made it delicious, and the added salt kept it from being too sweet without going overboard. As good as any dedicated baked-goods shop! Extremely satisfied 🫶🏻
