24-hour aged gopchang and sesame fried rice: Yeonsu Gopchang, Incheon

A Yeonsu-dong favorite where hand-cleaned gopchang (beef intestine) is aged for 24 hours at low temperature, leaving no funky smell at all. The special set composition and service left a real impression at this Yeonsu Station spot.

Where is Yeonsu Gopchang, and where do you park?

Yeonsu Gopchang Yeonsu Main Branch sits on the 1st floor at 13-5 Saemmal-ro 21beon-gil, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon. Hours run 16:00-01:00, closed on the last Sunday of every month.

It's already been 9 years since opening, and it's popular enough to have moved to a much bigger location. Parking was easy too — the Matgol-gil public lot (ground floor) right next to the restaurant gives you 2 hours of registered parking.

What the Yeonsu Gopchang dining room is like

The interior of Yeonsu Gopchang was spacious and comfortable, and they kept the doors wide open — perfect for eating with that open-air feel in this not-too-hot, not-too-cold autumn weather. A great Yeonsu-dong, Incheon restaurant for it.

Staff were friendly, and the in-store restroom was also well maintained, giving off a hygienic, clean feeling.

The gopchang aging fridge and the self-serve corner

Yeonsu Gopchang has a dedicated aging fridge for gopchang, with everything logged by hand — it felt like extra care was being taken, a real highlight of this Yeonsu-dong, Incheon restaurant.

At the self-serve corner in the middle of the restaurant, you can refill side dishes or sauces anytime you like.

What comes with the 39,900 won Yeonsu Gopchang mixed set

The main menu was posted on the wall too — the Yeonsu Gopchang mixed set comes in two sizes, for 2 or more people, or 4 or more.

We ordered the mixed set for 2 or more, and true to its name, the table was piled high. Fire-stir-fried vegetable gopchang and salt-grilled makchang came already cooked from the kitchen, plus gopchang hot pot in a stone bowl, cool mukguksu (acorn jelly noodle soup), and free sundae (blood sausage) and liver — an incredibly generous spread!

The fire-stir-fried vegetable gopchang and salt-grilled makchang both came fully cooked from the kitchen — all you had to do was keep them warm over low heat.

Cooked just right with great chewy texture, and seasoned nice and salty — the salt-grilled makchang was addictive.

The spicy fire-stir-fried vegetable gopchang, cooked with chives, glass noodles, cabbage and more, was a standout among standouts — both the makchang and gopchang had zero funky smell and tasted fresh, which really made this feel like a proper local favorite near Yeonsu Station.

My boyfriend wrapped some gopchang and makchang with mayo sauce into a lettuce wrap. The harmony of ingredients made even the wrap memorably addictive — a real highlight of this Yeonsu-dong restaurant.

Free sundae and liver at Yeonsu Gopchang

The complimentary moist sundae and liver were also tasty, great alongside the gopchang!

Cool mukbap, served in summer and autumn

In winter, they serve fish cake soup instead, but from summer through this season, you get cool mukguksu instead of the fish cake soup pot. The mukguksu was perfectly seasoned and refreshing, pairing great with gopchang — a menu that kept pulling my chopsticks back!

The set also comes with a generous stone-bowl gopchang hot pot, packed so full of gopchang I wondered if there'd be any left over. Great value and a deeply flavorful broth — another highlight near Yeonsu Station.

The finish: sesame oil fried rice

Once you've had enough gopchang, you can order the fried rice, which also arrives beautifully plated from the kitchen — it made me feel taken care of, another nice touch near Yeonsu Station.

You just stir-fry it on the burner and eat — since the gopchang hot pot still had plenty of gopchang left, we added that in too.

The nutty aroma of sesame oil and the balanced flavor were so good I'd go back just for this fried rice — a true Yeonsu-dong, Incheon restaurant highlight.

Aside from Pororo drinks, all kids' services are free, and there's even a kids' menu for children 10 and under, making this a great choice for family dining in Yeonsu-dong.

There are various extra services too — the restaurant even closes on the last Sunday of every month for a full deep clean, which really showed how much they care about hygiene and customers near Yeonsu Station!
