Songdo steak jazz bar with same-day window seats: Jazz 257
In short
Jazz 257 Songdo Central Park Branch is a live jazz bar and steak restaurant on Incheon Tower-daero in Songdo, Incheon. Booked on the same day for a mom's birthday after she came up from Chuncheon unannounced, Jazz 257 was fully booked but the owner set up a window table with a Central Park lake view, where the meal was flaming Jazz Stone Steak, gorgonzola pizza and two glasses of wine. Live keyboard, contrabass and a female vocalist plus a birthday shoutout turned a last-minute plan into a proper birthday dinner.

I was trying to figure out where to take my mom for her birthday and ended up making a rushed plan to head to Songdo. I'd originally meant to book ahead, but my mom came up from Chuncheon out of nowhere, so this was a genuinely last-minute booking haha.

Can you book Jazz 257 on the same day?
I visited Jazz 257 Songdo Central Park Branch with a same-day reservation, and the place happened to be completely full. But the owner kindly worked something out and found us a spot, so we lucked into a window seat.

The moment we walked in, foreign staff greeted us cheerfully in Korean, and honestly it felt like stepping into somewhere abroad from the second we entered. My mom was pleasantly surprised that the foreign staff spoke Korean so naturally.
What is the interior of Jazz 257 like?
The lighting inside isn't bright overall — it's dim and moody. With the industrial concrete-style interior paired with soft lighting and the tables, it definitely felt more like a jazz bar than a typical restaurant.

The Songdo Central Park lake view from the window table
What I loved most was the huge window! Since we got the window seat, we had a full view of the scenery outside — the lake and park of Songdo Central Park. Technically it's not a river but an artificial waterway and lake built along Central Park.

You could see people strolling slowly across the lawn, with the water and park visible together — it had way more charm than I expected.
House wine by the glass at Jazz 257
Once we sat down, we first ordered two glasses of wine.

Neither of us likes wine that's too sweet or heavy — we both prefer something clean and dry, and the wine that day was exactly our style. It was on the dry side but smooth and clean going down, perfect for sipping alongside food. Especially with the steak, it didn't overpower the meat's flavor and kept things crisp and clean!
Mom and I both said, "this is totally our style" haha, and enjoyed it a lot.
Jazz 257's signature flaming stone steak
What we ordered was the Jazz Stone Steak. It's listed on the current menu under that exact name — a signature dish where premium steak is served on a hot stone plate.
The steak doesn't just arrive quietly — there's a flame performance right in front of you, so it's fun to watch too. Since the meat sits on a piping-hot stone, it stays warm even after it reaches the table, and you can cook each bite to your preferred doneness.

Wine and steak, the perfect combo 😊

We also ordered the gorgonzola pizza — the cheese was seriously generous. It was so good. This was a rushed plan for my mom's birthday, but being guided to a window seat with a great view and getting to enjoy delicious steak and wine made it a far more atmospheric birthday dinner than I expected.
🎷 What the live jazz set is like
One of the main reasons I wanted to come to Jazz 257 was the live jazz performance. During our visit, there was a set going on with keyboard and contrabass alongside a female vocalist. Listening to live music right in front of us in a dimly, softly lit space felt really great.

Sipping a glass of wine while listening to jazz felt totally different from a loud, rowdy bar. The musicians' live sound filled the whole space, making the meal itself feel like part of a performance.

🎉 Birthday and anniversary shoutouts
That day, I noticed a lot of guests had come in for birthdays. Some were families celebrating like us, and others were bigger group birthday parties, so the whole place felt livelier than I expected.
In particular, between songs, the performers call out tables celebrating birthdays or anniversaries and everyone joins in with a "Happy birthday!" moment. Tables with birthdays get little sparkler moments and paper flower decorations, and nearby tables all clap and cheer along — it was oddly heartwarming even for strangers' birthdays haha.

This isn't just a place you eat and leave — it's somewhere you can enjoy live music, a meal, and a birthday event all at once, which explains why so many guests come for birthdays or anniversaries. We came up in a rush for my mom's birthday and barely managed a same-day reservation, but seeing this atmosphere made me really glad we picked this place. 🥂✨ There's also group seating, so it looks like a good spot for friend birthday parties, family gatherings, or work dinners with several people celebrating something special.
🌙 A walk through Songdo Central Park after dinner
After the meal, it felt like a waste to just head straight home, so we stepped outside and took a slow walk along Central Park. The view had already been great through the window, but walking outside felt different in its own way.

The walking path runs nicely along the waterway, and with the grass, trees, and Songdo's signature tall buildings all together, it felt open and unstuffy even in the middle of the city.

In the evening especially, the lights from surrounding buildings and the park lighting reflected softly on the water, and it was truly beautiful. After good food and wine, walking side by side with my mom and talking made the evening so much more relaxed and memorable than if we'd just eaten and left. It was a place we rushed to because of my mom's birthday, but between the wine, the live jazz, and the walk through Central Park, it turned out to be a really happy way to wrap up the day. ✨
