Dangsan sake bar with raw shrimp sashimi at the counter: Snack Bar
In short
Snack Bar Atashi Dangsan Station Main Branch is an izakaya near Dangsan Station in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul. Seated at the dachi (counter) seats for a second-round drink, the writer had raw shrimp sashimi for ₩35,000, fried shrimp heads for ₩5,000, and paired them with Matsu no Kotobuki sake and a Suntory highball. Picking Atashi Dangsan as our second-round bar
Hi everyone, I was looking for a good second-round bar and went with Atashi Dangsan for the vibe — let's go! It has that cozy feel like you've stepped into Japan 🥢🍣

This is Japanese atmosphere done right.

There were tables by the window. Since there were two of us, we got seated at the counter.

It was packed with guests. The dachi (counter) seats were nice because you can chat comfortably.

I felt like I was on a trip to Japan, haha. There are so many cute little details around.

"Just make things good for me, only me, only" — haha this is hilarious. But everybody, hope things go well for you too 🤍🍀
The menu and what we ordered

Our order list: raw shrimp sashimi ₩35,000, fried shrimp heads ₩5,000, Suntory highball, and sake — order complete! There were so many snacks and drinks to choose from, it was hard to decide haha. Clam sea urchin and salted flounder gimbap are also popular menu items! They have Kirin draft beer too!

They're known for Suntory highballs so I couldn't not order one. They even have Jim Beam~!

The vibe is so good. Photos come out great too.

The fun of choosing your sake cup: Matsu no Kotobuki
At first they asked us to pick a sake cup. There were so many pretty ones I nearly panicked ~! This was a fun little touch 🍶

Today's sake is this one — Matsu no Kotobuki!

I loved that they poured it into the tokkuri (sake flask) right in front of us. Some places just bring you a tokkuri without you ever knowing what sake went in, haha. Here you can drink with confidence!

Matsu no Kotobuki (松の寿, Matsu no Kotobuki). A soft sake with a gentle sweetness. Easy to drink without feeling heavy. Especially recommended for women, haha.

The cup I picked!! I thought it actually had a hole in it, lol ㋡

Ahh, this highball is the real deal.

A cute cat.

Known for their Suntory highballs indeed.
Raw shrimp sashimi, ₩35,000, already shelled and ready to eat
The raw shrimp sashimi arrives! Totally huge, haha. Absolutely gorgeous.

The shells were already all peeled off, so it was so easy to eat. The shrimp were lined up so neatly too, haha.

So plump and firm. Since freshness matters so much for a dish like raw shrimp sashimi, availability can change depending on the day's ingredients — if you're visiting specifically for this dish, it might be worth checking ahead.
Fried shrimp heads, ₩5,000
Ta-da~ Such a great side dish.

The shrimp heads were an extra ₩5,000. Salty and so tasty — highly recommend.
Crispy, crispy. You've got to pair the sashimi with something fried for balance, right?

❤️🤍❤️🤍

Getting a little tipsy, haha

Added an Atashi highball!
How was the raw shrimp and sake pairing?
The plump, subtly sweet raw shrimp sashimi and the smooth, faintly sweet sake matched better than I expected. The Suntory highball was delicious too! With the kind of atmosphere that's great for slowly drinking and chatting, I had a really satisfying time 👍 A place I'd want to come back to whenever I want a slightly special snack and a glass of sake in Dangsan!
One-line review 📝 Great food, great vibe! Highly recommend for a Dangsan date.
