The interior has just the right vibe for solo dining, and since the partitions aren't fully enclosed, it's also a good spot to visit as a couple or with friends.

What's at the self-serve bar?

There's a self-serve bar on one side. It has pickled radish and water ready to go. We didn't really feel like eating the pickled radish so we didn't bother grabbing any haha

Solo dining seat setup

The seats at Aori's Whereabouts Unknown were great — perfect for solo dining, with partitions on both sides. But it's not just good for solo dining; since the partitions don't completely block the view, they're also fine for sitting together with a partner or friend. Up top there's a note about three secret recipes you can only taste at Aori!

Miso SET

This is the Miso SET my partner ordered, and the visuals are so good!! The miso ramen broth was really deep and savory with great umami, and the toppings were all well-matched, making the ramen taste harmoniously good together. The soy sauce egg rice was seasoned just right too, so I ate it all the way to the end without it getting too salty.

Aori ramen

This is the Aori ramen I ordered, and this one's visuals are amazing too!! The chashu on top was really tender and had a nice smoky flavor, and it was topped with a soft-boiled egg, seaweed, and green onion. Rather than piling on a bunch of toppings, they only added exactly what was needed, which made it feel clean. The broth was made with pork bone stock, deep and rich, so I kept spooning it up over and over haha. It had been a while since I'd had ramen, so it felt even more delicious ><

How do you drink ramune (marble soda)?

I was curious about this drink called ramune so I ordered one, and even the bottle itself was so cute, plus the way you drink it is unusual. You pop off the cap on top, place it over the opening, give it a tap, and the marble drops down with a plop — done!! lol As the marble sinks down, the whole thing looks even prettier. Ramune tastes like carbonated soda. So it's delicious!! Kind of like eating a fizzy Bbongdda popsicle?? lol Anyway, it's a tasty flavor!
