Uijeongbu fried chicken shop: cheese mustard at Dalgom's

Dalgom's is a dakgangjeong (bite-size crispy fried chicken) shop in Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi, at the entrance to Uijeongbu Jeil Market's chicken alley. Where Dalgom's is in Uijeongbu Jeil Market and what to check before visiting
It was one of those days when I was craving dakgangjeong (bite-size crispy fried chicken) for dinner, so I rushed straight over to Uijeongbu Jeil Market for takeout 💕 Dalgom's (닭강정 달곰's) is just inside the entrance to Jeil Market's chicken alley, past the fruit shop :) It is 599 m from Exit 1 of Uijeongbu Jungang Station on the Uijeongbu Light Rail.
If you use the Uijeongbu Jeil Market parking lot, they said they provide a parking voucher. Hours are 10:00–21:00, but they close early if ingredients sell out, even during business hours. Closed every Monday! After 6 p.m., definitely check ahead before visiting.
There is a menu-banner where you can choose one, two, or three flavors however you like, and there are express-delivery perks too, so be sure to get the discount when ordering delivery :) You can also place a takeout order through Naver Order, just so you know 🙌🙌

Once inside, you can see a menu board explaining each option. There are seven dakgangjeong flavors in total, so when you cannot decide, you can choose while reading the descriptions haha.

The three of us ordered 1.5 chickens for ₩24,000! We chose three flavors: Sweet, Cheese Mustard, and Bburinkle. They start cooking the dakgangjeong as soon as you order, so please wait just a little after ordering :)
While waiting for our dakgangjeong, I looked around the shop. The drink display was super tidy, and there was a hot-water dispenser and microwave too—everything was so well organized! The shop itself was so neat and clean that I thought it had only just opened, but I was completely surprised to hear it has been around for two years... haha. I have never seen a dakgangjeong shop this tidy and clean 🥰😍
Maybe because it is such a popular spot, the ingredients sold out while we were sitting there waiting... 👍 If you are coming in the evening, make sure to check ahead!!
Takeout in three flavors: Sweet, Cheese Mustard, and Bburinkle
Our dakgangjeong was packed securely in a bag, and when we opened the cute box—ta-da 💕 Sweet/Cheese Mustard/Bburinkle dakgangjeong! It already looked delicious just from the visuals, right?!

How sweet was the Sweet Gangjeong?
Sweet Gangjeong was not overly sweet—just an easy, pleasant sweetness!
It is a flavor everyone, young and old, would enjoy, so no wonder the Sweet flavor is popular!! While we waited, a regular customer came in who only eats the Sweet flavor, and yep, it seems like the kind of flavor you keep coming back to once you try it 💕
Cheese Mustard Gangjeong
The golden pairing of smooth cream cheese and mustard.
If you like Bburinkle, you absolutely have to order the Cheese Mustard!! The moment I took a bite, I was like, wow, yep, this is totally my kind of flavor haha. The dreamy cream cheese-and-mustard sauce with the dakgangjeong was so delicious 😊
The Bburinkle Gangjeong and Cheese Mustard pairing
Bburinkle Gangjeong is a fan-favorite menu item that you cannot forget once you are hooked.
As a Bburinkle lover, there was no way I could skip it... haha. It is exactly that Bburinkle chicken-powder flavor we all know, but somehow it felt even tastier as dakgangjeong!! They sprinkled on lots of Bburinkle powder too, which I loved, and eating it with the Cheese Mustard was seriously the best. Next time, I am absolutely ordering Bburinkle and Cheese Mustard together againnn 😍😍
They even included a little extra, and the flavor was amazing, so there is no way I could not come back to Dalgom's.
They included a business card too, and I put it straight into my wallet haha. Next time I will make a reservation before going to the shop!!
Seriously, how did I only discover Dalgom's, this great dakgangjeong spot at Jeil Market, now... haha. We enjoyed all three flavors so much, and I am going back soon to check off the other four flavors I have not tried yet!! If you are looking for great dakgangjeong in Uijeongbu or a good place at Jeil Market, I recommend stopping by Dalgom's 🙏
