Jejju Donghong Branch in Seogwipo: takeout to eat back at the room
Jejju Donghong Branch is a sushi, rice bowl, and lunchbox restaurant at 58-8 Donghong-jungang-ro, Seogwipo-si, Jeju, and it's a great place to grab takeout and eat back at the hotel. When you're traveling around Jeju, going out to find a restaurant every single meal actually eats up a surprising amount of time.

Especially on a day when you've been out and about all day and finally get back to the hotel, sometimes you'd rather grab something delicious to go than head back out to eat.

This time we picked up takeout from Jejju Donghong Branch in Seogwipo and ate it back at the hotel!

Does Jejju Donghong Branch take group lunchbox orders in Jeju?
Jejju Donghong Branch has a pretty wide range of menus — sushi, rice bowls, lunchboxes, tempura, and salmon dishes — and it turns out they also take group lunchbox orders in Jeju. Looking into it, the menu was broad enough that it seemed like a good option for picking food a whole group could enjoy together.

It also seemed like a good option if you're traveling Jeju as a group, or looking for food for a company trip or workshop with several people.

Besides takeout, you can also dine in at the restaurant, and delivery is available too.

What's in the Jejju Anju Trio (₩24,800)?
What I picked was the Jejju Anju Trio for ₩24,800 and fried shrimp for ₩5,800. Jejju Donghong Branch has so many lunchbox and rice bowl options that it seemed like a great spot for everyone to pick something to their own taste. We got ours to go, to eat back at the hotel.

Just from the name, it sounded like something that would let us eat several things at once, so I went with the Jejju Anju Trio.

When I actually opened it up, the spread was even more solid than I expected. The Jejju Anju Trio comes with salmon 10 pieces, fish tempura 1 piece, shrimp tempura 2 pieces, salmon sushi 3 pieces, and shrimp sushi 2 pieces, all in one box.
If you want salmon, sushi, and tempura all at once and can't decide, this one menu covers it haha. Especially eating it at the hotel, we didn't need to order a bunch of separate dishes — it felt like a whole spread laid out that we could pick through.
The salmon was great on its own, and alternating it with sushi meant it never got repetitive, more than I expected. And having a crispy piece of tempura in between completely changed the mood each time — the composition felt really well thought out.
Why we added fried shrimp (₩5,800) on the side
We also added fried shrimp separately here!

The Anju Trio already comes with shrimp tempura, but if you like fried food, adding this on was worth it haha. Even after carrying it back to the hotel, the crispy texture was still there, and the shrimp-and-batter combo went great eaten in between bites of sushi.
When Jeju takeout beats going out for dinner
Famous Jeju foods like black pork or hairtail are great, but eating a big restaurant meal every single meal isn't actually that easy. On days like that, grabbing takeout and eating comfortably back at the hotel is a pretty solid choice while traveling.

If you have kids with you, or it's been a long day, even washing up and heading back out can feel like too much haha. Picking up food on the way to the hotel and eating comfortably there was genuinely great.
Group orders for workshops or family trips: call Jejju ahead
Looking at the Jejju Donghong Branch menu, besides the Jejju lunchbox, there are also separate lunchbox options like the Jungmun lunchbox and the Seogwipo lunchbox, so it seems very usable for anyone looking for group lunchbox orders in Jeju. It's not just sushi — there's octopus rice bowl, bulgogi, tempura, and more, so it should be easier to match everyone's tastes when a group is ordering.
If you're planning something with a lot of people, like a company workshop, family trip, or group tour, it's worth calling ahead to check whether group lunchbox orders in Jeju are possible and how many they can prepare.
Even if you're not a group like us, if you're looking for takeout to enjoy with a drink back at the hotel while traveling, the Jejju Anju Trio is a great pick too! Getting to eat salmon, sushi, and tempura all at once, laid out at the hotel, made for an easy way to wrap up a day in Jeju.
Waiting in line at a famous restaurant every time is great too, but I think grabbing takeout of whatever you're craving and eating it comfortably at the hotel for a day is part of the fun of traveling Jeju too :)
