Summer king shrimp cold ramen at Menya Seoul in Michuhol, Incheon

Today I'm sharing a restaurant we visited for lunch with family at Lotte Department Store Incheon — a real find on the food court floor.

It's a ramen restaurant on B1 called "Menya Seoul." I got curious because you can choose your broth — mild, spicy, or mala — yourself, haha, so I decided to visit. And the summer new menu cold ramen was another big draw!

Menya Seoul Lotte Department Store Incheon Branch: location, hours, parking

35 Yeonnam-ro, B1 floor, Michuhol-gu, Incheon (basement food court of Lotte Department Store Incheon). It's right next to Incheon Terminal Station on the basement level of the department store!

Hours are daily 10:30–20:00.

Parking is free for the first 30 minutes, then ₩1,000 per 10 minutes, with 1 hour free if you spend ₩30,000 or more. Make sure to give them your license plate number at checkout to get the discount!

An easygoing atmosphere, even with a baby

It has that open, breezy feel typical of department store food courts, so it wasn't stressful bringing a baby along. There's dining space wrapped around the store, so you can sit down and eat right after picking up your food. Being able to sit immediately without waiting was a huge plus with a baby in tow!

12 combinations of meat and broth to choose from

You choose your meat — dongpo pork or jambon — then choose your broth from mild, spicy, or mala, plus regular or double portions, for 12 combinations total. À la carte starts at ₩10,900 and sets start at ₩15,900, which felt reasonable for a department store restaurant.

By the way! Set orders come with double the meat! And the summer new menu items are the king shrimp cold ramen and the whole pork belly mazesoba.

What we ordered — dongpo pork in mild broth and king shrimp cold ramen

We ordered two dishes: dongpo pork ramen in mild broth, and the king shrimp cold ramen (summer new menu).

The dongpo pork ramen broth wasn't sharp at all — really clean and mild-tasting. Because it was the mild broth, it had depth without feeling heavy.

The king shrimp cold ramen had really chewy noodles! Cool noodles with a suitably cool broth, perfect for a summer menu item!

Adding a bit of the lemon-kelp vinegar sitting on every table to the cold ramen really brought out the flavor. The tangy umami it added made it much more delicious. There's also chili oil on the table, so anyone who wants it spicy can add it to taste.

What about the seating?

Among the restaurants at Lotte Department Store Incheon, this one had dining space wrapped around the store, making it comfortable to sit whether you're alone or with family.

Seasonal highlights

The summer new menu king shrimp cold ramen let us enjoy the season in the moment. On hot days, cold ramen; as the weather cools, the spicy broth — it seems like a place you can enjoy differently depending on the season.

Final verdict

Menya Seoul Lotte Department Store Incheon Branch let us enjoy the meal exactly to our taste since you can choose the broth yourself. The dining space wrapped around the store meant we could sit down right away without waiting, which made for an easy lunch. The dongpo pork in mild broth was clean and light, and the king shrimp cold ramen got even better with a splash of lemon-kelp vinegar — a perfect combination for summer.
