Sudae and Okdae barely look at each other when they meet — they head straight for good food instead. And my all-time favorite staff-grilled BBQ spot near Dongnae Station, Yukmildo Dongnae Direct Branch, got another visit from us, for like the fourth time now.

How to get to Yukmildo Dongnae Direct Branch, and where to park

It's a 5-minute walk from Suan Station Exit 1, and also easy to find from Dongnae Station Exit 2.

If you're driving, park at the Daedong Institute lot right next to the restaurant. If it's full, use the Megamart parking lot instead — they support 1 hour at lunch and 2 hours at dinner, just FYI.

There's a big menu board right at the entrance, so Sudae, who got there first for the opening rush, had already decided what to order just by looking at it.

There's a lunch special available during lunch hours, but we wanted meat from the morning, so we sat straight down at the grill seats.

Once we ordered, the table was set up quickly — full of seasonings that pair with the pork belly this Dongnae-station BBQ spot is known for, and honestly, just looking at it was already fun haha.

We went with pork jowl and pork belly. It feels like we always get pork belly every time we come, but you've gotta stick with the classic, right lol.

Hungry as we were, us sisters immediately ordered kimchi fried rice for ourselves too.

I've pretty much tried every side at Yukmildo — kimchi jjigae, doenjang jjigae — but this was my first time with this one. And the kimchi fried rice was seriously delicious, so I recommend eating it alongside the meat.

Watching the staff carefully grill the meat to perfection while we mukbanged the kimchi fried rice haha.

Both of us are egg people, so we added steamed egg too — a perfect choice. Every side at Yukmildo Dongnae Direct Branch is good.

Is Yukmildo Dongnae good for work dinners and family gatherings?

The nicely grilled meat gets plated on a mini tray, so you just enjoy it while it's still warm. Since staff grill it for you and the seats are divided up privately, it's perfect for a Dongnae-station staff dinner too.

They also grill vegetables like onion and aged kimchi, and wrapping grilled veggies with the meat is seriously delicious, you know? Since it's a Busan restaurant open through Chuseok, it's great for both a staff dinner and a family gathering~
