Pizza pub in Dangdong, Gunpo: half-and-half large with Heineken

I've been craving pizza for the past few days, and after searching around I found Jagajebbang Seonmyeonghui Pizza, Gunpo Branch, said to have great pizza and sides! As a Gunpo Dangdong go-to spot, the cheese-loaded pizza visuals were exactly my style, so I went in half-excited, half-expecting. The restaurant was spacious and the pizza tasted just as good as it looked. Let's get into the review!

Inside the Gunpo pizza pub: a wide hall built for groups

I was surprised at how big the inside of Jagajebbang Seonmyeonghui Pizza, Gunpo Branch was! I expected a delivery-focused pizza place, but it turned out to be quite a spacious pub-style hall! True to its reputation as a Gunpo Dangdong go-to spot, there were plenty of group customers when we visited, and the place was buzzing.

With such a spacious hall, it looked great for dining out with family or as a meeting spot with friends. And there's a huge screen here too — I bet the atmosphere is amazing during soccer or baseball season!!

Another thing that surprised me was the open kitchen!! It definitely gives off more confidence about hygiene, and it really did look well-managed and clean.

Menu prices, the 5,000 won takeout discount and the review event

They give out cheese oven spaghetti with a Naver receipt review, so make sure to grab that when you visit! On top of that, takeout orders get a ₩5,000 discount — which probably explains why there were quite a lot of takeout customers!! We're planning to try takeout ourselves next time!!

Since Jagajebbang Seonmyeonghui Pizza, Gunpo Branch has that pub feel, they also had a lot of beer options!

What we ordered: large half-and-half, cheese crust and a Heineken

Since this place is famous for its sides too, I thought about ordering a smaller pizza and adding a side, but decided to just focus on pizza for once and got a large haha. Ordering half-and-half means you get to try two flavors at once — such a win!

Pepperoni vs. bacon potato: how each half tasted

Here comes the star of the show — doesn't it look amazing just from the visuals alone?

Pepperoni is forever my number one pick. Salty and savory, absolutely flawless. The bacon potato had potato and bacon together for a hearty, soft flavor. The sauce was sweet too, so the sweet-and-salty combo was the best — both had generous toppings and plenty of cheese, so when I lifted a slice, it stretched all the way up.

The real star of the pizza was the cheese crust

But honestly, everyone, the real star of this post is the cheese crust... It genuinely made me laugh — it just melts the moment it hits your mouth? My husband and I both made that 'this is real' face the second we took a bite haha. Truly a moving flavor, and I never knew eating the crust ends could be this much fun...

So for the very next slice, I ate the crust first haha. If you love cheese, you absolutely have to add the cheese crust.

Final verdict: two people, one whole large pizza, no heavy feeling

Jagajebbang Seonmyeonghui, the Gunpo Dangdong go-to, apparently makes its dough in-house using 'Jindo black rice'!! Maybe that's why, even after the two of us finished a whole pie that day, our stomachs weren't bloated at all and digestion felt easy haha. Being a Gunpo Dangdong favorite, the sides are also said to be delicious, so next time I'll definitely order some sides too! With its spacious hall that's great for group gatherings, if you're looking for a pizza spot in Gunpo where you can really taste good dough and cheese, I recommend Jagajebbang Seonmyeonghui Pizza, Gunpo Branch!!
