My Bless Sauna: a private sauna in Bulsang-dong, Cheonan

These days the life I'm chasing is a wellness life! And when it comes to wellness, recovery is the trend right now, especially saunas, right? That's how I found My Bless Sauna in Bulsang-dong, Cheonan, where you can use a Nordic-style Finnish sauna privately..🫧 The entrance had such an emotional atmosphere that I felt oddly at ease the moment I walked in haha

My Bless Sauna has everything from solo saunas to couple and family saunas, so it was easy to pick based on why you're visiting. This time I wanted to relax alone, so I went with the solo sauna, and I was shown to my room :)

Why you can walk into My Bless Sauna empty-handed

In the solo room at My Bless Sauna, there were loungewear and a robe, of course, plus roasted eggs, sikhye, a tumbler full of ice, and bottled water. There were even basic skincare products and a Dyson dryer, so there was almost nothing I had to bring myself for after the sauna. Once I was inside, I was surprised by just how much~~ was already prepared!

They even had a waterproof book that's fine to get wet, which made it a really great spot to come heal solo ✨

What is in one room: dry sauna, tub, shower and rest area

When I opened the door and stepped inside, the sauna, shower area, and rest space were all set up together in one space. The tub had already been filled with water in advance, and I could choose between warm or cold, which I loved haha. I started by soaking in the warm tub, and once I sank into the warm water, I felt relaxed and happy, like I was on a trip..🤍

What the Finnish-style dry sauna felt like

After resting plenty in the warm tub, it was time for the Finnish-style dry sauna~~ I think the biggest perk of a private sauna is not having to worry about anyone else and just using it alone haha. After warming up in the tub, once I stepped into the sauna, my body slowly heated up and felt warm all over, which was so nice🫶🏻 Sitting quietly alone while sweating it out turned out to be way more healing than I expected.

Roasted eggs, iced sikhye and the hermit crab hair cap

I stepped out of the sauna for a bit, ate a roasted egg, and drank sikhye with ice floating in it — and I thought, this right here is what real sauna healing feels like haha. Warming my body up and then resting with a cold glass of sikhye was such a good break :) Honestly, this might just be the best healing after work...

Oh, by the way, they also lend out a hair cap for heat protection and scalp care, and it looks just like a hermit crab, so cute lol. Wearing the hermit crab hat, soaking in the warm tub water... a sip of cool sikhye, a roasted egg dipped in salt, nom nom 🫧

After the shower: was the solo room worth it?

Finally, after enjoying the sauna once more and finishing with a shower, the refreshed feeling was truly perfect haha. Shampoo, treatment, body wash, and cleansing foam were all provided, so there was nothing extra I needed to bring, and the shampoo had such a nice subtle scent that even the washing part ended on a good note :) They even had a Dyson dryer, so after the sauna I went straight home and fell asleep, and it was so good.

My Bless Sauna, a private sauna in Cheonan, felt less like a place to simply sweat and more like a wellness space perfectly suited for resetting your body and mind quietly, alone! I loved that the warm tub, Finnish-style dry sauna, rest area, and shower were all conveniently available in one room :) Above all, everything needed was so carefully prepared that going empty-handed was more than enough haha. Alongside the private solo sauna, there are also spaces for couples or families, so I'd recommend it for a special date or a healing time together too!
