Cheonan sauna with no supplies needed: family room tour at My Bless

In short

My Bless Sauna is a reservation-only private Finnish-style sauna on the 2nd floor of Golden Plaza 2 in Bulsang-dong, Cheonan. The writer used a solo room for 90 minutes with towels, robe, jjimjilbang clothes and even a waterproof book all provided, arriving completely empty-handed, and also got a peek at the family room next door (2 people, 120 minutes, ₩120,000, up to 5 people). After finally getting 90 minutes of pure rest since having a baby, she says she'd go back 1000%.

So... this was my first time ever going to a sauna alone!!!! A Finnish-style private solo sauna! I was so excited going in. Turns out the building itself was one I'd been to many times before! Who knew there was a private sauna in here! Let's go in already 💓

My Bless Sauna is currently running an opening event with a welcome service — ice cup + water, a pinch of salt, sikhye (sweet rice drink), and a boiled egg. This service is amazing. Just note it may end early once supplies run out! 💓

A lobby that feels like a forest

This is the lobby of My Bless Sauna! It's divided into two sides, with entrances to the private rooms and family room on the left. It's decorated so tastefully and beautifully that I just had to take photos ㅜㅜ 💓 It really felt like being in a forest..

What's the family room like?

Since I came alone, I used the solo room for 90 minutes! But I was curious about the family room right next to the private rooms, so I got permission from the owner and peeked inside 🤧

Interior of the family room, which fits up to 5 people
Family room

The family room costs ₩120,000 for 2 people over 120 minutes, and can hold up to 5 people!:)

The sauna room itself is pretty spacious too! It looked like it would comfortably fit around 5 people:)

There's also a half-body bath tub to relax in after the sauna. When booking, you can choose cool water or warm water!

When you enter the sauna room at My Bless, there's a sign that's the first thing you see, plus another on the table — make sure to read both ☺️

What's inside the solo private room

Let me introduce the solo room I used :) The first thing you see on the left as you walk in is the table and chair!! And the standing lamp is so pretty—

Next to that is a full-length mirror and all the supplies you need for the sauna and half-body bath!

Why you can show up completely empty-handed

Two towels, wet wipes, a hair dryer, cotton swabs, toner, lotion, body lotion, a comb, toothbrush and toothpaste, a waterproof book, robes — all the basic essentials for a sauna trip were laid out! Before visiting I asked the owner if there was anything I needed to bring, and she said no need! Because it's all prepared like this ✨

Table with checkout time notice and welcome service

The table also has your checkout time written on it, along with the welcome service I mentioned earlier!

Robe and jjimjilbang clothes prepared in the solo room
Hat for protecting the scalp during the sauna

There are two clothing options — a robe or jjimjilbang (sauna) clothes. You should never go into the sauna room in the nude for hygiene reasons — just wear whichever is more comfortable.

And this is a hat you wear to protect your hair and scalp because the sauna room temperature is so high! Make sure to wear this cute little hat whenever you head into the sauna!

Shower room, half-body bath tub, sauna room

Opening another door inside the room leads to the shower room and sauna room — knowing it's all private made it even more exciting.. 🤧

Half-body bath tub, sink, and shower area

Next to the half-body bath tub there's a sink and shower area. I'd do the sauna for about 8-10 minutes, come out to rest, then go back in, rest again — repeating like that a few times, then finish with the half-body bath and a proper shower, and it felt amazing.. 💓 I asked for warm water for my bath, and it turned out to be so satisfying! Soaking, all drowsy and relaxed after the sauna, was just the best 👍🏻

The sauna room itself is sized for about 1-2 people, and going alone meant I could enjoy it with plenty of room to spare!!

Bench and sauna stones inside the sauna room

Finnish-style sauna, and can you add oil?

My Bless Sauna is a Finnish-style sauna — in this style there are stones inside the sauna room, and pouring water over them raises the room's temperature and humidity, which means you can enjoy the heat without it feeling too dry! At My Bless, if you add oil, you can pour oil-infused water over the stones like this — I didn't add any myself, so consider this just a demonstration 🤧

Anyway, inside the sauna room there's a chair on top of another chair, and sitting on that upper seat lets you feel even more intense heat, apparently.. But honestly ㅋㅋㅋ the temperature was already pretty high, so I didn't try it... Instead I left the door slightly ajar and enjoyed it at a comfortable level! Even just that had sweat pouring down 🤣

View of the private room through the sauna room window

From the sauna room you get a nice view of the room through the window, and with a waterproof book in hand, I sank into my own time completely... the minutes just flew by.. 🤣

90 minutes alone, and would I go back

90 minutes.. of completely relaxed, fully mine, time — the first in a long while since having a baby.. Such a precious time, and I would 1000% go back again when I have the chance.. 💓👍🏻 If you need some alone time and healing, definitely visit My Bless Sauna in Bulsang-dong, Cheonan!
