I heard the famous Myeongji Cheotjip from Myeongji also has a branch in Yulha, so I went to check it out! There are lots of cafés nearby too, so you can have a hearty meal and then grab coffee afterward~ It was neatly plated and great for a get-together — this is Myeongji Cheotjip Jangyu Yulha Branch, a restaurant in Jangyu, Gimhae.
Where do you park at Myeongji Cheotjip Jangyu Yulha Branch?
Myeongji Cheotjip Jangyu Yulha Branch offers 2 hours of free building parking. But since I was meeting a coworker I hadn't seen in a while and we were going for coffee afterward, and the building only covers 2 hours, I parked at a nearby public lot instead!

The building offers 2 hours of free parking; I parked at Jangyu-dong 838 public parking lot. It's right next to the building, so it's easy to find.

Two private rooms and baby chairs at this Yulha, Gimhae restaurant
Get off the elevator and it's on the left — you'll see Myeongji Cheotjip with its warm yellow lighting. They also use CatchTable, so you can wait comfortably if needed!
Open daily 11:00–21:00, break time 15:00–17:00, last order 20:30.
There are 2 private rooms, so it works for group gatherings or private meals, and the wide windows let in great sunlight for a bright atmosphere!
Even the baby chair wasn't just a plain wooden one. Honestly... at a restaurant... this is the first time I've seen such a fancy baby chair at Myeongji Cheotjip haha. That kind of attention to detail is really nice too.

Myeongji Cheotjip menu and how to order at the kiosk

What comes with the 15,000-won solo bossam set meal
The bossam set meal is ₩15,000 per person, made up of boiled pork wrap + doenjang stew + steamed egg + 4 seasonal side dishes. The single-portion bossam set came beautifully plated, with 4 types of side dishes and wraps served neatly. Even the basic side dishes weren't overly seasoned — clean and light.
If you run out of wraps, you can just ask for more! Perilla leaves, lettuce, and peppers were arranged neatly by type in the bowl, all fresh, and even though only one set of wraps came with the table, they brought us an extra set~ We ate without any shortage!!

How were the rice, salad, steamed egg and doenjang stew?
Drumroll please, the rice~ Take a look. If the rice alone is good, that's basically a win, right?!!

The multigrain rice was so moist, you could feel the stickiness in each grain. It was good with the basic side dishes, but wrapping it up with bossam made it even more delicious.

The salad was a refreshing palate cleanser before the main meal — the vegetables were fresh, and the sweet-tangy dressing came sprinkled with nuts for a nutty aftertaste too~
The steamed egg was so, so soft. It had a pudding-like bounce — I'm a housewife, but... how do they make steamed egg this bouncy?? haha. I ate it smoothly and happily. (A side dish that's wonderful even when dining with kids)

The doenjang stew had tofu, zucchini, and mushrooms in a good balance, with a clean, light soybean paste flavor that paired perfectly with the bossam,

Bossam, kimchi and tofu: how the wrap tasted
The glossy, well-boiled bossam had a tender texture and a clean, mild pork flavor!!! No gamey smell at all, and thanks to the moist meat texture, it was delicious to the very last bite~ Paired with the sweet-and-tangy radish kimchi, the savory umami and crisp texture added to the clean bossam flavor, and ㅠㅠ I just kept reaching for more!!!! The kimchi seasoning was really, really good.

The kimchi seasoning was really delicious, but the refreshing crunch of the kimchi itself was the real winner. My coworker who joined me for the meal also confirmed it's definitely a place known for good kimchi!!!

The tofu served alongside was delicious wrapped with the kimchi too
Is Myeongji Cheotjip good for family gatherings and dining with kids?
Eating together with all these neatly plated side dishes made for a hearty, satisfying meal. It was a great place to treat a coworker I hadn't seen in a while, and since it comes as a single-portion setting, it was easy and comfortable to eat, with fresh wraps too~ Above all, the bossam and kimchi were fantastic, and since none of the dishes were overly seasoned, Myeongji Cheotjip in Jangyu was a great spot for family gatherings or dining with kids.
