Gijang outlet old wing lunch: lasagna and basic soup at Bueokgan

My mom and I went shopping at the Busan Premium Outlets and stopped for lunch at Bueokgan, a Western restaurant in Gijang.

Where is Bueokgan? Inside the NORTH building, 1st floor of the old wing

Bueokgan isn't in the new building of the Shinsegae Premium Outlets — it's tucked inside the 1st floor of the NORTH building, old wing. It's in the building across from the SOUTH food court, so keep that in mind when heading over.

I actually went to the new building first and had to backtrack to the old one.

What is Bueokgan like inside?

Right as you walk in there's a waiting sofa, then a spacious hall opens up. Stepping inside, the scale was bigger than I expected — that was the first thing that caught my eye.

Wood-tone tables and green seats fill the space, with plenty of room between tables. Combined with the high ceilings and lighting, it felt like a comfortable place to eat after shopping at the outlet.

Even though it's inside an outlet mall, it felt like walking into a standalone restaurant.

Basic soup, 8,000 won

We started the meal with a warm sweet pumpkin soup. It came out hot, and we split it into the small bowl provided to share.

They say it's made in-house using fresh raw pumpkin.

Lasagna, 21,000 won

The lasagna was one of the dishes I really wanted to try at this Western restaurant in Gijang. It's made with a house-made ragù sauce, wide lasagna sheets, eggplant, and cheese.

Cutting into it with a knife and fork, you could see the layers of pasta sheets and ragù sauce stacked up. The cheese on top was golden and browned, and cutting it while still warm made the cheese stretch out soft and gooey.

Lifting up a piece, the ragù, pasta sheets, and cheese were all layered together — a heavy, dense texture that felt different from regular pasta, and it stuck with me.

Shrimp rosé pasta, 20,000 won

This is a creamy rosé sauce pasta with shrimp and button mushrooms, priced at ₩20,000. Even in the photo you can tell — plump shrimp piled generously on top, with plenty of rosé sauce.

The sauce wasn't too strong, leaning creamy and mild, which paired well alongside the heavier lasagna.

Is Bueokgan a good lunch stop after shopping the Gijang outlet?

Stopping in for lunch with my mom during a shopping trip, the spacious layout and generous seating inside the outlet made for a comfortable meal. With pizza and steak on top of pasta, the wide menu range also seemed well suited to a family meal where everyone shares different dishes.
