Jinmi Hwareo Center is a raw fish restaurant on basement level 1, stall 145, of the building right at the entrance of Sokcho Tourist Fish Market. I visited during a summer vacation trip to Sokcho because I wanted to enjoy sashimi comfortably back at my accommodation. Sokcho Tourist Fish Market is one of those spots you just can't skip on a trip to Sokcho~

Drumroll~ While wandering the market to check out other seafood, I stopped by Jinmi Hwareo Center in the building right at the market entrance! Parking is available too 👍

✔ Since it's on basement level 1, stall 145 of Sokcho Tourist Fish Market, it's easy to get to and a great stop while browsing the market .ᐟ.ᐟ Best of all, takeout, delivery, and reservations are all possible, so ordering ahead and dropping by works great too. I ordered takeout to eat back at my accommodation haha

The tanks are packed full of fresh seafood — abalone, sea squirt, live fish, snow crab, you name it ‼️

The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating, so it looks like a great spot not just for takeout but for dining in or visiting as a group~

It's located on basement level 1, but there's an elevator, so I was able to visit comfortably with my little dog too 🐶

A combo of flounder and rockfish, fresh sashimi pulled right out of the tank (^///^) Watching the fish get pulled straight from the tank and prepared on the spot gave me even more confidence in the takeout order. And the owner even asked if we liked abalone and sea squirt and threw those in too — I was totally touched 💗

Jinmi Hwareo Center gave us a 30-minute free parking coupon with our takeout order, so we could pack up and head out without worrying about parking ~ 🚗

Ta-da~ They packed everything meticulously, from the cooler bag to the ice packs to the dipping sauce ➿ Even in the hot weather, we were able to bring it back to our accommodation still fresh 📌

How did the flounder and rockfish platter taste back at the accommodation?

You can't have sashimi without a drink, right? All set to dig in properly ~ They also packed lettuce, garlic, chili peppers, and other great side dishes to go with it, so we wrapped it up and ate happily.

The flounder and rockfish were so chewy, and I couldn't resist the fin meat .. (´▽`ʃ♡ƪ) The portion was generous too, so we ate our fill without any lack.

And the abalone and sea squirt they gave us for free ... 💗 The abalone was freshly caught, so it was crunchy, had no fishy smell, and tasted so fresh !! The owner was also super friendly and prepared everything right after we ordered, so it felt even fresher and more delicious 🐟 Best of all, since it's inside Sokcho Jungang Market, you can browse the market and enjoy other food along with it ~ If you want to eat sashimi comfortably at your accommodation during a Sokcho trip, I definitely recommend getting the assorted sashimi platter to go from 'Jinmi Hwareo Center' ✨
