Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch
Where is Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch?
This Marine City favorite, Bueokgan, sits on the 2nd floor above Suybeonchoego Pork Gukbap!

Inside Bueokgan Chinese in Marine City, Haeundae

Here's the interior of this Marine City favorite, Bueokgan Chinese :) The moment you walk in it feels like a fancy Hong Kong restaurant — not just the ocean view, the interior itself is so stylish and sophisticated it surprised me.

This Marine City favorite, Bueokgan Chinese, is located in Haeundae's Marine City, famous as a drive course! And it's a restaurant of about 330㎡ (100 pyeong) with a panoramic ocean view of Dongbaekseom — the view really is that pretty.

Private rooms, group tables and ocean-view window seats
Bueokgan Chinese has room-type seating and group seating too! Great for a work dinner, a gathering, or a group meetup — the atmosphere is nice, and I really loved that it still felt private.
The window tables give you the ocean view right in front of you, so pretty it feels like you've traveled abroad, which made it even better. If I had a friend visiting from out of town, I'd definitely bring them to Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch :)
They have baby chairs too ^^
That massive ocean view is so open and so pretty, isn't it?! Being on the 2nd floor really made the view amazing.
Bueokgan Chinese menu and what two people ordered

Here's the menu at Marine City's Bueokgan! There's a wide range of meals and dishes, plus lots of gaoliang liquor options too, so it seems perfect not just for lunch but for a drink with dinner :) The two of us ordered generously — suran ganjajang (₩10,000) + seafood jjamppong (₩18,000) + black vinegar tangsuyuk small size (₩28,000) + rice (₩1,000) ^^

Seafood jjamppong, 18,000 won: portion and broth
Whew, it was seriously delicious!!! The seafood jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) had mussels, octopus, shrimp, clams and more — a really generous amount — and the broth was so savory and refreshing!! The umami was so good I kept eating spoonful after spoonful, and the portion was hearty and truly tasty. I thought the price seemed high, but it was so filling and good that I'd definitely order it again.

Suran ganjajang, 10,000 won: black bean noodles with pork belly
The small tangsuyuk came out together with the suran ganjajang!
You must try the suran ganjajang (poached-egg black bean noodles) too! Mixing the well-fried ganjajang with the poached egg adds richness, and it all blends together smoothly with that soft egg texture!! Personally, I thought the poached egg suited it way better than a fried egg. The ganjajang itself was sweet and salty, with crunchy onion cutting through the richness, and — get this — it's made with pork belly, so the meat texture was incredible! Using pork belly instead of regular meat gave it a more premium, deeper flavor.

Black vinegar tangsuyuk (small), 28,000 won
The tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) came with a sauce made from Chinese black vinegar, giving it a deeper flavor that's clean and never gets tiring, so I kept reaching for more :) There was also a ton of onion in it, which made me finish off the whole plate of tangsuyuk. Between the onion and the special sauce, I just couldn't stop eating it..!!

Is Bueokgan Chinese in Marine City worth a visit?
The seafood jjamppong broth and the ganjajang were so good that we even mixed rice into them..!! I thought I'd burst, but the umami was so good I just kept eating!!
If you're looking for a good restaurant, a solid meal spot, or a place to have a drink with dinner in Marine City, I recommend Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch in Haeundae! Overall the food quality is great, and with group rooms, private rooms, and an ocean view, the interior is stylish and gorgeous too. I'd also recommend it as a great date spot ♥
