My close friend's birthday was coming up so I went out for a nice meal! It's an Italian restaurant located in Ung-dong, Haeundae, and the name of the place is Smith's Farm — isn't that such a cute name? 🥳👍🏻💕
Before visiting I looked around at the menu and read reviews, and it seemed like a lot of people were on their nth visit. Felt like I found a real Haeundae hotspot ><
Arriving at 11:05, five minutes after opening — how fast the seats filled
Smith's Farm opens at 11, and we arrived about 5 minutes after opening at 11:05-ish, but there were already two tables there and the other seats filled up in no time

Inside Smith's Farm: atmosphere and seating
The moment you walk in, you can feel that it's a bit different from a typical Italian restaurant 😌 It felt like walking into a small European dining restaurant — the vibe was so unique!!
There were quite a few spacious seats too. The tables were spaced generously apart so it was comfortable to eat, and it seemed like a fine place to visit with kids too
The mood is calm without being too formal, so it works well for family meals but also gatherings with friends, dates, and especially group get-togethers like wedding invitation meetups 💌🤎

What we ordered at Smith's Farm, and what it cost
What we ordered at Smith's Farm: octopus steak ₩29,800, pumpkin sweet potato gnocchi ₩23,800, romaine salad ₩11,000, americano ₩5,000 😇🪽

Romaine salad, 11,000 won
The romaine salad came out first. It's romaine drenched in sauce for adults who dislike vegetables, and I loved that 🤣🤣🤣

Octopus steak, 29,800 won — the best octopus I've had
Today's star, the octopus steak 🐙 I'm not really a fan of octopus among seafoods, but my friend wanted to order it. And wow... this ended up being the best octopus of my life. I chewed it and it just melted away in my mouth?
The octopus was boiled so moist and tender that I genuinely wondered what the recipe could be ㅜㅜ The soft, savory purée sauce paired with the tender octopus and various fresh vegetables made for a really great combination of flavors!
And there was corn in it too, which I love, so the texture was fun and there was a subtle sweetness added that made me like the dish even more ><🌽🤍

Pumpkin sweet potato gnocchi, 23,800 won
The last dish, gnocchi! Why is it that no matter how much gnocchi I eat, I never get tired of it? I order gnocchi without fail every time I go to an Italian restaurant — at this point I'm basically on a quest for gnocchi, haha ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 🤣🤣🤣
But this time I tried sweet potato gnocchi instead of the usual potato gnocchi 🍠 The chewy sweet potato gnocchi with the soft pumpkin cream sauce combo, big yes from me!!
Taking a bite, the outside was chewy while the inside was fluffy and soft — the texture was amazing. They topped it generously with dried king oyster mushrooms and arugula on the side, and the owner of Smith's Farm really doesn't skimp on ingredients, so my mouth and hands never got a break 🐷💕

The complimentary banana brûlée and carrot pen gift
When choosing our order I saw the dessert menu and wanted to try it, and they gave us banana brûlée for free — huge surprise ㅠㅜ True to the farm concept of the space, the carrot fork and carrot decoration plating was so cute too 🌱🥕
Cracking the sweet caramel on top and eating it with the soft, sweet banana was perfect for dessert 🍌 Even the final dessert was a perfectly satisfying way to end the meal 💕

When we paid, they even gave us a carrot pen as a gift ..🧡 Is the owner Santa Claus???!
Is Smith's Farm worth it for Western food in Haeundae?
The food was delicious, but it was the owner's thoughtfulness and warm heart shown throughout that made this such a good meal from start to finish ☺️
I definitely want to come back to try the dishes I haven't had yet, one by one 😎 If you're looking for an Italian restaurant in Haeundae, I highly recommend Smith's Farm 💕
