Munjeong poke restaurant with truffle mayo seafood bowl: Olla Poke

In short

Olla Poke Munjeong Main Branch is a custom salad and poke restaurant on the B1 floor of Terra Tower A, by Munjeong Station in Songpa, Seoul. For an 11am solo lunch the writer ordered the seafood poke at 13,500 won, added salmon for 3,500 won, and picked a buckwheat noodle base with truffle mayo, the staff-recommended sauce. The seafood came in generous variety and portion, making Olla Poke a light but filling lunch.

I had an errand near Munjeong Station and by the time I finished it was already lunchtime, haha 🫨 It was a Monday, my usual penance day after weekend overeating, so I wanted something light but still filling — so I went to Olla Poke Munjeong Main Branch, said to be a famous salad restaurant in the legal town area :)

Where is Olla Poke Munjeong Main Branch, and what are the hours?

Olla Poke Munjeong Main Branch is at Unit G185, basement level 1, Terra Tower A, 167 Songpa-daero. It's tucked inside Terra Tower A, but since every unit has its number on the sign, it wasn't hard to find.

How the custom order works: choosing a base and toppings at Olla Poke

At Olla Poke Munjeong Main Branch you pick your menu first, then customize from toppings to sauce. There's a guide posted at the entrance for first-timers like me, so make sure to read it ✔️ There are 7 standard toppings, and you can add up to 3 garnishes.

  • Red onion, big corn, beet pickle, pineapple, seaweed, lentils, chickpeas, furikake, crispy onion, parsley

For the base, you can choose between salad, oat brown rice, or buckwheat noodles.

There was a mirror zone right next to it, so of course I took a selfie with my puffy face 🙄

Is Olla Poke easy for solo diners? Seating and ordering

Looking for a spot at Olla Poke Munjeong Main Branch, I noticed most tables were for 2-4 people. As a solo diner, I sat at a hallway-side seat.

There were disposable aprons off to one side of the store, which seems handy for anyone who needs one.

Time to order for real. Munjeong Main Branch has no kiosk — a staff member took my order directly. You pick up and return your tray at the same spot where you ordered.

I visited around 11am, well before the lunch rush, but delivery calls kept coming in and riders kept going in and out — clearly a spot the neighborhood relies on 😏

The 7 topping sauces and allergy labels at Olla Poke

Olla Poke has 7 topping sauces.

  • Sriracha, chili garlic, wasabi, teriyaki, truffle, horseradish, black sesame

You can pick whatever suits your taste, but if you're on the fence like I was, going with the recommended sauce works well too 🤓

There's also a chart of origin and allergen info, so if you're allergic to shellfish or similar, it's worth checking.

  • + San Pellegrino (grapefruit) ₩3,500

Pickup counter and self-service corner

After about 10 minutes of waiting, the pickup bell went off.

There's a self-service corner to the right of the pickup counter, so it was convenient to grab any extra sauce, water/tea, cutlery, or wet wipes while picking up my order.

The recommended sauces for the seafood poke were truffle mayo and yuja soy sauce, so I ordered with truffle mayo and grabbed the yuja soy sauce myself from the self-service corner.

Even at a glance, it looked really generous 🥗

Among sparkling waters, I tend to prefer San Pellegrino because it's less sweet. As always, my top pick was grapefruit 🤭

As a seafood lover, I nearly danced looking at the menu. It's been a while since I've seen this much variety of seafood.

Truffle has a strong aroma, and mayo does too, so I worried the combo might feel heavy — but dipping the salmon in, the truffle flavor came through and the salmon-mayo pairing was really nicely nutty.

The salad's greens are said to be premium European varieties — kale frisée, butterhead lettuce, and frill ice. Even I, someone who dislikes the lettuce commonly used in salads, ate it happily without any bitterness or coarse texture 🤤

Why the buckwheat noodle base instead of rice or salad

I felt like a plain salad might be low on carbs, so I went with buckwheat noodle salad — and getting to try two things at once turned out to be a great choice 🙂↕️ Deciding how to combine the base and toppings was a fun ongoing puzzle 😋

Piling on one piece of every kind of seafood to eat in one bite — does that look like power eating to you? This is what an adult's lunch looks like 💪

Poke bases come pre-dressed with a soy-based dressing. For my mild palate it was fine as is, and adding just a little extra soy sauce made it even better. If you feel it needs more seasoning, you can grab more from the self-service corner.

Naver receipt review event at Olla Poke

Olla Poke Munjeong Main Branch was running an event where writing a Naver receipt review gets you a free Pepsi Zero 210ML. I had already ordered a drink so I didn't take part myself, but note the free cola for anyone who's interested 🥤
