Today I'm sharing my review of Elato Songjeong, already famous by word of mouth as a top taco spot and Mexican restaurant in Songjeong, Buk-gu, Ulsan!

What time to arrive at Elato Ulsan Songjeong for weekend lunch without waiting

Elato Songjeong is a Songjeong-dong favorite that gets packed the moment lunch hour starts. I actually went a little before the weekend lunch rush, around 11:40am. And I was seriously shocked haha — right after I sat down and ordered, once it hit noon, customers just kept pouring in!

"This place is really the real deal."

That's what I thought haha. So today I'll give my honest review of Elato Songjeong, which I'd also recommend for lunch spots in Buk-gu, Ulsan!

What I ordered was the fajita! Honestly, the name sounded unfamiliar to me at first, but looking at the next table, almost everyone was ordering this dish haha

Families were adding extra dishes to their fajita too. When the food arrived, the presentation alone was insane. On a sizzling hot plate sat gorgeously grilled meat, cheese, and various ingredients piled generously, served together with tortillas — the moment I saw it, my mouth was watering 🤤

What I loved most about Elato Songjeong was being able to enjoy tortillas without limit!

Pile on the meat, drizzle plenty of sauce, add cheese, roll it up in the tortilla and take a bite... wow... it's just so good 😭

What I especially loved was mixing different sauces to my own taste. I could eat it spicy, or smooth and savory, so there was never a moment I got tired of it.

One bite, wrap another, one more bite, wrap another... before I knew it, the tortillas had vanished haha (for reference, wrapping everything in one whole tortilla is too big — cutting it in half is just right!)

Free extra cilantro at Elato Ulsan Songjeong

At Elato Songjeong, you can add extra cilantro for free. If you love cilantro like I do, you're absolutely going to love this place.

I'm a cilantro fiend, so I immediately asked for extra, and the combo of fragrant cilantro and fajita was seriously the best 💚 If you like cilantro, definitely add some — it makes the flavor so much richer.

The avocado smoothie was delicious too :)

Does Elato Ulsan Songjeong work as a bar in the evening?

Elato Songjeong doesn't feel like just a regular restaurant — the atmosphere is nice enough that it would work well as a bar too. Looking at the menu, they had a whole lineup of beer, cocktails, and highballs. I only had drinks since I visited for lunch, but I thought it'd be great to come back with friends in the evening for a highball 🍻 The atmosphere is casual and comfortable, so I'd also recommend it for dates or friend gatherings!

Eating out with kids: high chairs at Elato Ulsan Songjeong

When I visited at lunchtime, there were really a lot of families too. The place is clean and fairly spacious, so I could see families with young kids eating comfortably.

It also seemed great for visiting with kids and sharing multiple dishes, so it could work well as a family dining spot 😊

Honest verdict: would I go back to Elato Ulsan Songjeong?

These days, a lot of so-called "hot spots" are places you go to once and never again, right? But at Elato Songjeong, I genuinely got curious about the other menu items and wanted to go back. The owner was kind, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was great! Above all, the fajita was so good it's become one of my all-time favorite restaurants ✨
