Beomil-dong beef restaurant parking and seafood doenjang stew: Hanuso

In short

Hanuso Dwitgogi Beomil Branch is a hanwoo (Korean beef) dwitgogi restaurant 90 meters from Exit 4 of Beomil Station in Dong-gu, Busan. Stopping in on the way to the civic center, the writer had three servings of hanwoo dwitgogi, a doenjang stew (soybean paste stew) loaded with seafood, and two bowls of rice, plus a complimentary hanwoo yukhoe (beef tartare) tasting for booking through Naver. The public lot in front of Hanuso Dwitgogi and the nearby Woosin Tower lot make driving easy, and the grill fired by corn kernels is worth seeing.

Today I want to tell you about a beef restaurant near Beomil Station in Busan that's both great value and genuinely delicious. On our way to the nearby civic center, we stopped by Hanuso Dwitgogi Beomil Branch, a beef restaurant in Beomil-dong. I'd heard of pork dwitgogi before, but hanwoo (Korean beef) dwitgogi was new to me — and it turned out really satisfying.

We went to Hanuso Dwitgogi, a beef restaurant in Beomil-dong.

Hanuso Dwitgogi Beomil Branch: hours, location and parking

Hanuso Dwitgogi Beomil Branch is open daily from 16:00 to 23:00, with last order at 22:00. The address is 1F Hanuso, 9 Jobang-ro 49beon-gil, Dong-gu, Busan, South Korea, just 90 meters from Exit 4 of Beomil Station.

You can reach it easily by subway, bus, or car — there's a public parking lot in front of the store as well as the Woosin Tower parking lot. There's no parking support from the restaurant itself, but the visit is still convenient. First 60 minutes cost ₩3,000, with ₩3,000 for each additional 60 minutes, up to a maximum of ₩20,000.

The clean exterior and warmly lit interior already had me excited, and there was a menu posted at the entrance that I skimmed before heading in.

Rooms and hall seating: can Hanuso Dwitgogi handle group dinners?

At Hanuso Dwitgogi Beomil Branch, private rooms can be booked starting from 8 people, while the hall seats up to 40. The photo on the left shows a room — on the day I visited it was already reserved and set up in advance. The hall shown on the right also looked great for a group work dinner. The whole place felt clean and well kept.

Most guests seemed to be there for work dinners, friend gatherings, or big family outings, and thanks to good ventilation, there was no lingering smell of meat. The day I visited, plenty of friend groups and families came through too.

We arrived almost an hour before our reservation time, and the staff kindly seated us anyway, which I really appreciated. After we sat down, more and more guests kept coming in — clearly a popular spot even in the early evening.

What banchan (side dishes) come with the meal

The banchan lineup was mostly pickled vegetables that pair well with meat — pickled perilla leaves, pickled chives, pickled onion, scallion salad, dongchimi (radish water kimchi), salt, ssamjang (dipping sauce), garlic, wasabi, and a refreshing yeolmu (young radish) water kimchi that was really tasty. There's no self-serve bar, so if you want more of anything, just ask the staff.

The grill lit with corn kernels

I kept wondering what the corn sitting next to the grill was for — turns out they burn it to heat the grill. It's an innovative, eco-friendly cooking method that burns natural grain, in kernel form, to grill the meat.

Charcoal and gas burners are common enough, but this was the first time I'd seen a place burn corn kernels for heat — genuinely fascinating. As the meat cooked, the corn kernels would burn down and drop beneath the grill, which was fun to watch too.

Naver reservation perk: a free hanwoo yukhoe tasting

Complimentary hanwoo yukhoe tasting from the Naver reservation perk

Since we booked through Naver, we got a complimentary hanwoo yukhoe (beef tartare) tasting. Despite being called a "tasting," the portion was far from small.

For guests who come back, there's a note that writing a review mentioning it's a repeat visit gets you a small complimentary service too.

The complimentary hanwoo yukhoe looked fresh just from a glance. The texture was springy yet tender, and the seasoning wasn't overpowering, letting the beef's savory flavor really come through. The quality felt too good for a freebie — it made a great first impression.

Hanuso Dwitgogi menu and prices

The main menu at Hanuso Dwitgogi Beomil Branch includes hanwoo dwitgogi sets, galbi dwitgogi, two-plus grade hanwoo sirloin, hanwoo tenderloin, hanwoo hanging tender, marbled short rib meat, golden shrimp meat, seasoned short rib meat, and hanwoo yukhoe among the meat dishes. For meals, there's doenjang stew, kimchi noodle soup, and instant ramyeon. Drinks range beyond beer and soju to highballs, non-alcoholic Cass, and other beverages.

What we ordered at Hanuso Dwitgogi

  • Hanwoo dwitgogi — 3 servings
  • Doenjang stew
  • 2 bowls of rice
A plate of hanwoo dwitgogi for three servings
Hanwoo dwitgogi featuring flat iron, skirt, and brisket flap cuts

Hanwoo dwitgogi for three

I saw a description calling hanwoo dwitgogi "a special cut produced only in small quantities per cow" and ordered it without hesitation. Dwitgogi isn't some odd cut — the marbling is evenly distributed, and you get to taste several different parts, starting with the flat iron. From right to left in the photo: flat iron, skirt, and brisket flap. You could really feel the difference in texture between the cuts.

Hanwoo dwitgogi grilling in the center of the grill

The staff advised us that the very center of the grill gets the strongest heat, so we started grilling in the middle and moved the cooked pieces to the outer edge to keep warm.

Hanwoo dwitgogi wrapped in pickled perilla leaf

I love topping beef with wasabi, but my daughter tried it with pickled perilla leaf and said it was delicious, wrapping a piece up for me — and it really was amazing that way too. No gamey smell at all — it was the kind of beef that tastes great with just a dip of salt. The hanwoo dwitgogi was delicious, honestly beyond my expectations.

Refreshing doenjang stew with seafood

Doenjang stew with seafood

Described as a "refreshing seafood doenjang loaded with seafood," it had that clean, homemade-doenjang flavor, which made it even better.

Is Hanuso Dwitgogi Beomil worth a visit?

From premium hanwoo to a variety of beef cuts, all at reasonable prices, plus fresh yukhoe — this place delivers. Given the good location and great value, it would also work well as a group dinner spot. Make sure to book through Naver so you can try the hanwoo yukhoe too.
