Pork belly set for two in Sangdaewon, Seongnam: Musoe Ttuk Samgyeop
In short
Musoe Ttuk Samgyeop Sangdaewon Branch is a pork belly restaurant in the basement of Central Biz Tower 2 in Jungwon-gu, Seongnam, Gyeonggi, where the staff grill the meat for you. Two of us ordered the value set (samgyeopsal pork belly and moksal pork neck) with fried rice, the onion wrap and draft beer, and the crisp edges of the pork neck and the sharp onion wrap stood out. Parking in the building is only covered for 1 hour, so it is worth timing the meal around that.

Craving meat today! I found a place in Sangdaewon-dong that looked super appetizing, so I checked out 'Musoe Ttuk Samgyeop'! Turns out there are two branches — Sinheung and Sangdaewon!

Where is Musoe Ttuk Samgyeop Sangdaewon Branch, and is there parking?
Musoe Ttuk Samgyeop Sangdaewon Branch is in the Seongnam Central Biz Tower 2 building. The buildings in Sangdaewon-dong are so confusing that I actually walked into the wrong one first... ^^;; Parking is supposedly free for one hour, but by the time we finished eating it was 1 hour 2 minutes, so we had to pay extra... Seems like only the free portion is covered by the building itself! They didn't give us anything extra for it!

The open kitchen that grills every cut for you
At Musoe Ttuk Samgyeop, all the meat comes already grilled, and I think that's such a great touch! No grease splatter to worry about, and it's nice watching them grill it in the open kitchen out front?!

Is Musoe Ttuk Samgyeop good for a group dinner?
The restaurant is fairly spacious! With about 10 tables and decent spacing between them, it seems like a great spot for a group dinner!! And pre-grilled meat is perfect for company dinners, haha. There seem to be a lot of industrial complexes nearby, since I saw lots of office workers around the restaurant!! The prices aren't bad either, so I'd recommend it as a work dinner spot!

What comes with the meal: the side dish spread
Here are the basic side dishes! Lettuce for wraps, pickled onion, pickled hot pepper paste, wasabi, chopped green onion, garlic, and basic dipping sauce. I'm totally a fan of having lots of sides that cut through the greasiness like this haha.

What the value set for two includes
We visited as two and ordered the value set, plus fried rice, onion wrap, and beer!

The meat finally arrived! It took about 10–15 minutes~ Since we ordered the two-person set, both pork belly and pork neck came out together!!

They grill the meat together with vegetables so you can eat them as a combo — loved that! Though if there are more people in your group or you love vegetables, adding some minari (water dropwort) might be a good idea!!

Pork neck beats the pork belly here
For me, the pork neck was tastier than the pork belly!! The fatty part of the pork belly felt a bit heavy for me, but the pork neck had a crispy outer edge that was delicious!!

New on the menu: draft beer and wraps
And here's the newly launched draft beer! I figured it would wash away the greasiness nicely alongside the meat, so I ordered one! For lightweights like me, being able to enjoy just one cold glass is really nice~!

Wrapping the meat with a ton of vegetables inside is the best! Piling in onion, hot pepper, and garlic to cut the richness and eating a big wrap like that — so good, haha.

How does the new onion wrap taste?
The new onion wrap at Musoe Ttuk Samgyeop! I've recently gotten obsessed with onion wraps, so it was perfect timing that they had one, haha. It has just the right sharp bite, and the dipping sauce that comes with the onion wrap is different too?! Totally delicious!!

The onion was big enough that you could pack a ton of ingredients into it, haha. Even with just meat inside, it cuts through the richness nicely!!

You can even add lettuce wraps together with the onion wrap, and even though you can barely see the meat, a wrap packed full of vegetables was so good~!

Can you see the pork neck!? A nice amount of skin and a crispy exterior!! The pork neck was great since it didn't have much fat on it~
Fried rice stir-fried right over the fire
We also ordered fried rice, and they tossed it right onto the fire like this to cook it! Fried rice really does taste best when it's fried directly over the flame — nice and fluffy, haha.

The fried rice came out fully cooked, so completely convenient! They fry it in the meat drippings! Egg and dried seaweed flakes go in too!!

We really ate with passion,,, haha. Finishing a two-person meat set plus fried rice between the two of us left us pleasantly full! I've been dieting lately so I don't usually eat a lot, haha. So we wrapped up the meal right at that perfectly satisfying level of full~
