The menu we ordered that day: pork backbone pho for 13,000 won, bánh cuốn for 14,000 won, and chả giò for 8,000 won.

Table setting with pork backbone pho, bánh cuốn and chả giò

We picked three dishes in total, and the first one that caught my eye was the pork backbone pho.

Broth and noodles of the pork backbone pho

A giant backbone sits right on top of the bowl, and it was much bigger than I expected.

My son said the backbone was really huge as soon as he saw it.

The broth was rich too, and the noodle portion was generous.

Picking the meat off the backbone and eating it with the noodles, this one bowl alone was really filling.

If you're looking for hearty pho in Bundang and like generous portions, this one's worth trying.

What does the bánh cuốn taste like?

The second dish we tried was the bánh cuốn for 14,000 won.

Bánh cuốn filled with shrimp

Inside the thin, chewy rice sheets were plump shrimp.

With one bite, the chewy texture of the sheet and the springy shrimp went really well together.

Picking up a piece of bánh cuốn

It's a light dish that's easy to eat, and it paired well with the pho too.

Bánh cuốn served alongside the pho

My son tried the bánh cuốn too and said it was delicious. It would be great to share if you're visiting with a kid.

How crisp are the chả giò spring rolls?

Crispy fried chả giò

Lastly, we also ordered the chả giò for 8,000 won.

Personally, I love eating crispy dishes like this alongside pho.

The chả giò was crispy on the outside and packed full inside.

You could feel the crispy texture the moment you picked it up with chopsticks.

But that day, my son really loved the chả giò.

He said it was delicious and kept eating one after another until he'd finished almost all of it by himself.

I only got one bite, but since it suited his taste so well, I think we'll order it again next time.
