Sinheung Station pork belly set with free minari: Musoettuk Samgyeop
In short
Musoettuk Samgyeop Sinheung Station Branch is a samgyeopsal (grilled pork belly) restaurant on Simin-ro in Sujeong-gu, Seongnam, where the staff grill the meat for you at the table. Two of us shared the Musoettuk 2-person set (46,000 won), which comes with pork belly and pork neck plus Korean kimchi, stone minari (water dropwort) and tofu, and one minari refill is free. Musoettuk Samgyeop is an easy place to talk over dinner without ever picking up the tongs.

I'd been craving samgyeopsal (grilled pork belly) for a while, so I went to Musoettuk Samgyeop Sinheung Station Branch near Sinheung Station.

Grilled meat tastes best fresh off the fire, but honestly grilling it yourself can be kind of a hassle these days haha. So this time I went to a place where the staff grill it for you. ❤️ It really does taste better when a master grills it!
What comes with the 46,000-won Musoettuk 2-person set?
What I ordered was the Musoettuk 2-person set! The Musoettuk 2-person set is ₩46,000.

It comes with pork belly and pork neck, plus domestic kimchi, stone minari (water dropwort), and tofu, so it was perfect for two people.

The staff grilled these big chunks of meat for us right at the table.
Seonjin Pork high-fat pork belly, grilled to 80%
Musoettuk Samgyeop uses Seonjin Pork, apparently. I'd heard it's a branded pork raised under systematic management, from feed to living conditions to hygiene. And it really was delicious!

They say they select high-fat pork belly with a rich, savory flavor, and once it hit the grill you could smell the difference immediately. The belly wasn't too thin — it had just the right thickness, and it was great once it turned golden brown.

They say the meat is most tender and tasty when it's grilled to about 80% doneness, and since I also prefer moist meat over overly well-done meat, it was perfect for me. One bite and the fat had melted just enough — savory and tender. This is exactly why we eat samgyeopsal, haha.
Why the pork neck in the set is worth ordering too
The 2-person set includes pork neck as well as belly, so we could alternate between the two. If the belly is savory and tender, the neck is a bit leaner with more chew, and eating both together kept things from getting monotonous.
But best of all was having the staff grill the meat for us! At a lot of BBQ places you end up too busy grilling to actually talk, but here there's a dedicated grilling zone right in front of the diners and staff handle it themselves. Thanks to that, we could relax and chat while waiting, then eat the meat right when it was perfectly done.

Kimchi and stone minari: the combination to try at Musoettuk Samgyeop
One thing I really liked was the domestic kimchi and the stone minari. I feel like if the kimchi is good, the whole meal is basically a success haha, and here the kimchi is made with Gangwon highland cabbage and other domestic ingredients, aged at low temperature for about three months.
Putting kimchi on a piece of meat and eating it along with the stone minari was such a great match. The savory, rich flavor of the pork belly paired with the fragrant minari cut through the greasiness too.

Eating the tofu alongside as well gave us a surprising variety of combinations to enjoy — sharing one set between two of us and mixing and matching was genuinely fun. And there's Musoettuk's signature onion wrap! Piling toppings onto a slice of onion and eating it that way is delicious 👍👍
Is Musoettuk Samgyeop worth it for pork belly near Sinheung Station? 😉
Maybe because it had been a while since I had proper samgyeopsal, I really enjoyed this meal. The Musoettuk 2-person set, which lets you eat both belly and neck, was great for a two-person visit, and above all, having staff grill the meat meant we could eat comfortably without worrying about the grilling.
If you're looking for samgyeopsal or a BBQ restaurant near Sinheung Station — especially one where the meat is grilled well for you — Musoettuk Samgyeop Sinheung Station Branch is worth a visit. Personally, the combination of samgyeopsal with kimchi and stone minari was what stuck with me most.
(The stone minari refill is free once, as a thank-you from the restaurant. I wanted more but held back haha, I didn't even know the refill was free!) Next time I'll definitely add more minari 🤍

Nothing beats golden, well-grilled pork belly topped with a piece of kimchi, haha. And don't miss the beer coupon on rainy days 🍺🍻
