Seongsu Italian restaurant with crab bisque risotto: Sedici
In short
Sedici is an Italian restaurant on the first floor of Seongsu-dong Arc Valley, near Seongsu Station Exit 2 in Seoul. For a special-occasion dinner, the order was beef tartare with added brioche bread, fried sweet corn gnocchi and crab bisque risotto, and the open kitchen and wide gaps between tables kept the meal quiet. Sedici is a good choice for an anniversary dinner in Seongsu-dong.

On a special day, I wanted delicious food in a place with a great atmosphere. I went looking for Sedici, which has been buzzing around Seongsu-dong as a pasta and gnocchi spot. Here's my honest review after a perfect evening that exceeded expectations in both taste and mood!!

Where Sedici is and when it's open
Sedici is located at 37 Seongsu-i-ro 22-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, on the 1st floor of Seongsu-dong Arc Valley. Hours are weekdays 11:30–22:00, weekends 12:00–22:00, closed Mondays. It's near Seongsu Station Exit 2, so it's easy to find, has parking available, and features an open kitchen.
Is Sedici good for a Seongsu date or anniversary?
It was easy to find, being close to Seongsu Station Exit 2. Basement parking in the building also made the visit convenient.
The space had a clean, modern feel. Soft lighting and the open kitchen added a sophisticated touch. The tables were spaced generously apart, making it quiet and comfortable to chat while eating. A great place for a date or anniversary.

The three dishes ordered at Sedici
I ordered a mix of Sedici's signature dishes and a few I was curious about.
- Fried sweet corn gnocchi
- Beef tartare (with added brioche bread)
- Crab bisque risotto

Beef tartare with added brioche bread
The first appetizer to arrive. Beef tartare made from finely minced fresh eye of round and sirloin. Piled generously onto the brioche bread that came alongside, it melted in my mouth. Savory and smooth — an absolute standout. Perfect for whetting the appetite before the meal.

Fried sweet corn gnocchi
One of Sedici's signature dishes. Potato gnocchi fried crisp on the outside and chewy inside. It paired wonderfully with the sweet corn cream sauce. Sweet, salty, and savory all at once — an addictive flavor I kept reaching for. Loved it!!

Crab bisque risotto
A risotto packed with rich crab flavor. The rice kept just the right bite, and the more I chewed, the deeper the nutty flavor came through.

Final verdict on Sedici in Seongsu-dong
Sedici was like a hidden gem in Seongsu-dong, perfect in both atmosphere and flavor. Every dish was full of care, and the open kitchen made it feel even more trustworthy.
If you want to celebrate a special day in Seongsu-dong, or just want to enjoy delicious Italian food, I'd recommend Sedici.
