Where is Otter Rabbit House? A brunch café near Woelgwang Park

My husband and I came for coffee on a date after dropping the kids off at school. It's not far from Woelgwang Park, so it's really nice to take a walk there after eating!

Parking at Otter Rabbit House and the wood-toned interior

📍If you're driving, you can park at the Dowon-dong public parking lot, or there's roadside parking near the shop.

Walking into the space felt like stepping into a fairy tale — such a pretty, emotional interior! It's decorated in wood tones with soft lighting added on top, and it made me gasp out loud.

There's a baby chair, so I'd recommend it for family visits too! Just so you know 👶🏻

How to drink the castella latte: eat the castella first, then stir

The signature castella latte — it's called signature, so I ordered it with high expectations 🤭 Here's how to eat it: use the special spoon to first take a bite of the castella (sponge cake) sitting on top, then stir it in gently and drink it together with the coffee 😋

The coffee itself is nutty and delicious on its own, but once the soft cream blends in, it becomes a whole different kind of charm to enjoy 🙌🏻 This was my first time having coffee with castella on top, and it was a unique combination I really enjoyed. Oh, and it wasn't too sweet!

A hot americano on a windy Daegu day

The day my husband and I visited happened to be really windy, so I ordered a hot americano! Otter Rabbit House's americano was really delicious to my personal taste. I wanted to ask the owner what beans they use (whispering)

Egg tart and chocolate pistachio at Otter Rabbit House

Since we'd already eaten, I went in thinking I'd just have a simple coffee, but there were so many different kinds of bread and the visuals were too striking, so I ended up ordering — and as expected, it was an excellent choice 🤭 The egg tart was pleasantly nutty and creamy, and the chocolate pistachio had just the right sweetness that paired well with the americano, tasting of the owner's sincerity in not skimping on ingredients ✨

True to its reputation as a brunch spot near Woelgwang Park, every other table besides ours had ordered brunch! The coffee itself is so delicious and the atmosphere rivals any overseas brunch café, making it a great spot for a date! With a baby chair available too, Otter Rabbit House is a great place to visit with kids — how about brunch here today 😉
