Suwon brunch café 'Orange Bagel' Location: 129 Omokcheon-ro, Gwonseon-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea Hours: Daily 7:30 - 21:00
Today I'm introducing Orange Bagel, already a famous brunch café in Suwon^^ I've been to all three of the so-called 'top 3 bagel spots' in Seoul, but this place has such a rich flavor it can stand shoulder to shoulder with them, and it's perfect for brunch. This is also my regular haunt, so let's get into the Orange Bagel post 😉
Orange Bagel's location and parking — walking distance from Gosaek Station

It's within walking distance of Gosaek Station in Suwon, and the parking lot out front is so big it's easy to get there by car too 👍 It also makes a good course to pair with a visit to Yungneung and Geolleung royal tombs if you're doing a café trip near Seoul^^

Orange Bagel has exactly the kind of exterior that hits my taste — a brunch spot full of Brooklyn vibes, open from 7:30am so you can enjoy delicious bagels bright and early 👍
How many kinds of bagels are there?
Orange Bagel mixes French and Canadian flour for its dough, carefully controlling temperature and time through aging and fermentation. That's apparently what creates their signature chewy yet clean texture! These little details make a big difference, don't they 😉 If you buy 4 bagels they can box them up like this, which would also make a nice gift.
Standing in a space full of bagels, let's pick whatever suits our taste ✌️

Whoa~~ starting from plain bagels, there's green onion cream bacon, blueberry, mocha bun, corn, pepperoni, caprese tomato and more — compared to last time I visited, the variety has grown and it seems like new menu items come out regularly 👍

I really wanted the crab & shrimp and potato bagels, studded with bits of bacon. The bagel chips I bought as a snack for the kids got finished off that very evening lol. Salty, crunchy, and so, so good 👍

The garlic bagel and olive tomato bagel are piled generously with toppings for an even richer flavor. And oh — this one gets stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️, the Laugen butter bagel 👍 Wow this is genuinely good!!!

Rye bagel and orange bagel, and the visually gorgeous bacon egg mayo and dark chocolate — familiar flavors, but it was a happy struggle deciding what to pick 😉

For brunch, the ones people order most are the smoked salmon and jambon-beurre bagels 👍 They're kept fresh in the fridge, so you just grab one. Also worth noting: the cream cheese that goes nicely spread on a plain bagel^^

They also have wine by the glass and beer, which would pair well with the pepperoni or caprese tomato bagels 👍 What we ordered: Laugen butter bagel, crab & shrimp bagel, blueberry bagel, garlic bagel, orange-cano (+decaf), and orange juice.
Menu info — signature drinks and brunch sets

Orange Bagel's signature drinks include the orange-cano and orange latte, and you can choose beans by acidity, nuttiness, or decaf 👏
Since this is a brunch spot, the brunch set is such great value 😊 Right now there's a review event where you can get a drink or bagel chips, so you should definitely take part 😉
Inside the café — 1st floor windows, 2nd floor seats, 3rd floor terrace
The full-glass windows on the 1st floor let sunlight in for a warm, cozy atmosphere — starting the morning with brunch there makes for such a happy start to the day 😍 There's also group seating, more than enough for a big family or a group gathering^^
On the way up to the 2nd floor, they also sell Orange Bagel goods, all bursting with that same aesthetic and making me want to buy everything 😊 There's an oven where you can warm up your bagel after buying it, so you can always get it fresh out again 👍

We headed up to the 2nd floor and got a seat! The retro interior touches throughout suit the red brick so well, very stylish 👍 The place is so spacious that even with a lot of people, it never feels crowded — you can enjoy it comfortably, and there's quite a lot of group seating too.

Orange Bagel's signature dachshund — why is it so cute 😍

There's also a 3rd floor outdoor terrace, so you can fully enjoy brunch under a cool autumn sky.
The 4 bagels we ordered — how did they taste?

One bagel per person is basically the rule, right!? lol With the drinks and bagels it was plenty, but let's just say we finished all of it lol lol lol

Just looking at it is healing lol, made me want to eat right away 😍 The americano was decaf but had none of that watery blandness — the natural bean flavor really came through, which paired great with the bagels^^
Crab & shrimp bagel
Warm this one up once more in the oven and you can eat it like it's fresh out of the oven! The combination of soft crab, plump shrimp, and salty cheese — this one deserves an award lol. The whole time I was eating it I kept scrunching my face up going 'what, why is this so good' lol. Goes perfectly with an americano lol
Laugen butter bagel
Our pick of the day, the Laugen butter bagel — the bread itself is chewy, kind of like a salt bread, so it's delicious even plain... but this butter is insane......... It's a slightly sweet butter, so while you taste the clean bread flavor, the creamy butter comes rushing in and it became my favorite bagel 👍
Garlic bagel
This is the one my eldest picked! The garlic sauce is creamy and sweet, an irresistible bagel for any Korean palate lol. It also went really well with the americano, making it a great choice for a brunch bagel!
Blueberry bagel
With a subtle hint of blueberry, this is a top-tier plain bagel, perfect to stock up on as everyday bread 👍 It's seasoned just right even eaten plain, so my second kid, who likes clean flavors, devoured it in no time 🤤

Even just one bagel each was more filling than expected, so we packed 4 more to eat at home ✌️ We bought plain, mocha bun, bagel chips, and basil!! They're great spread with cream cheese, and I made egg mayo sandwiches with them for the kids' snacks, which they really enjoyed 😊
Final thoughts
I've tried all of the so-called top 3 Seoul bagel spots, but personally, Orange Bagel holds its own just as well, with a chewy texture and rich flavor that were genuinely delicious 😍 With an interior that's exactly my style and being one of the best coffee spots in Suwon, Orange Bagel really hit the mark for me 🤤
