In short
Pyeonbaek Hoegwan Cheoncheon Branch is an all-you-can-eat cypress-steamed meat and shabu-shabu restaurant on the 8th floor of a building in Cheoncheon-dong, Suwon. Two people ordered the weekday lunch all-you-can-eat for ₩17,900 each, refilled the cypress-steamed meat twice, and loaded up on the self-bar's pork neck, beef brisket, vegetables, watermelon, and americano. An all-you-can-eat spot in Cheoncheon-dong, Suwon — Pyeonbaek Hoegwan Cheoncheon Branch! Today I'm bringing you a review from a day I genuinely ate until I nearly burst ❤️

Perfect if you're looking for a spot near Suwon Starfield for a work dinner, or somewhere near Sungkyunkwan University that can handle a group gathering.
Pyeonbaek Hoegwan Cheoncheon Branch — location, hours, and parking
📍Pyeonbaek Hoegwan Cheoncheon Branch — it's over in the Cheoncheon-dong area of Suwon, and pretty close to Suwon Starfield too!
- Address: 8th floor, 11-7 Manseok-ro 19beon-gil, Jangan-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea
- Hours: Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun 11:00–22:00 (last order 21:00), closed Tuesdays

- Nearby paid lots: Lotte Mart Cheoncheon parking, Sehwa Parking Tower, Rian Parking Tower

Get off the elevator on the 8th floor and there's a big wall explaining Pyeonbaek Hoegwan right there

Since it's a chain, there were celebrity promo posters up too
And the interior is really spacious! Looked totally fine for a Sungkyunkwan University group gathering or a family dinner out

There's a long instruction panel on every table that makes it super easy to understand how everything works — how to eat the cypress-steamed meat, how to use the shabu-shabu,

Weekday lunch all-you-can-eat for ₩17,900 — what are the combos?
And there was even a Naver receipt review event!! We got a free drink out of it 👍 We ordered the weekday lunch all-you-can-eat for two, ₩17,900 each (₩37,800 total)

Looking at the kiosk, the lunch all-you-can-eat sets came in combos like: katsuo + spicy mushroom ₩17,900, katsuo + doenjang broth ₩18,900, katsuo + bone marrow mala ₩18,900.

The self-bar spread — even pork neck and beef brisket
And here's the real highlight of this Cheoncheon-dong all-you-can-eat spot — the self-bar

The vegetable selection was pretty varied too — bean sprouts, mushrooms, napa cabbage, bok choy, fish cake, and even kimchi, all ready to toss into the shabu-shabu

And the self-bar also had pork neck and beef brisket, so we could keep adding meat to the shabu-shabu the whole time haha. At this price, this lineup is wild

How generous is the cypress-steamed meat portion?
The steaming pot felt bigger than at other places — the second it arrived I thought, oh, this is a pretty generous serving

The meat, bean sprouts, and mushrooms come out steamed hot, and one bite in it's so clean and light that you just keep eating

They bring a set of 3 dipping sauces to every table too

We went through the cypress-steamed meat once and refilled once, so twice total. That's satisfying enough to bring here for a Suwon Starfield work dinner...
Going from veggies and cypress-steamed meat into shabu-shabu keeps the meal flowing nicely. If only one menu is all-you-can-eat you can get sick of it partway through, but here it feels like round one is the steamed meat and round two is the shabu-shabu

The mala broth lets you control the spice level
We went with mala + katsuo broth for the shabu-shabu, and the mala doesn't come out intense from the start — it starts as a plain white broth and you add mala sauce to your own taste
This was really great because it means a spice-wimp and a mala lover can go together and each control their own heat level!

Dessert included watermelon and even an americano
What surprised me even more was that the self-bar had watermelon too. An all-you-can-eat place with watermelon?! It was great to be able to properly finish off with dessert
Lemon water and americano were also all-you-can-eat, which was nice for cleansing the palate after the meal

P.S... there's a candy machine on your way out

To sum up
Pyeonbaek Hoegwan Cheoncheon Branch has a good price for the weekday lunch, and with both a wide menu selection and a spacious layout, it seems easy on the wallet for a date or an office lunch. And the self-bar is so well stocked... watermelon and americano included was genuinely surprising. If you've got a big group, reservations are a must! (Groups of 4 can book via Naver) If you're stuck deciding on a group gathering spot near Sungkyunkwan University, I recommend Pyeonbaek Hoegwan Cheoncheon Branch in Suwon 💙💗
