Getting my nails in shape before my Okinawa trip
I’m heading to Okinawa this weekend, haha. This month is seriously just one big party 😂 My husband got a reward vacation from his company, so we’re going all the way to Okinawa. So sweet~~

Since I’m going on a trip and my nails looked so messy, I went for nail art for the first time in ages. This time I went to Green Nail in Bansong-dong, Dongtan!

Green Nail location and parking
The place I visited is called Green Nail. Its colorful exterior immediately caught my eye, so it wasn’t hard to find. What I personally liked was the street parking lot right in front of the shop, which made it easy to visit by car.

Parking can be a low-key stress when I go to a nail salon, but here I could park nearby and walk straight in, which was convenient. Looking at the sign, I saw that it’s a total beauty salon offering lashes as well as nails.
Inside, it had an overall clean and cozy atmosphere.

The real dilemma started when choosing a design, haha
And this is where the real deliberation began, haha. I had looked at a few designs in advance while searching for a Dongtan nail salon, but seeing the designs in the shop, there were truly so many options.

There were so many colors and designs that it was hard to capture them all in photos, so I looked around for quite a while.

From clean solid colors to subtle syrup nails, sparkly glitter, and cute character-inspired looks, it was easy to choose something to suit your taste.
In the end, I scanned all the designs and picked the one that caught my eye! I’m embarrassed, but here are my nails before the appointment, haha.

And honestly, it wasn’t just that it had been a long time since I’d had my nails done—my nails were in a terrible state 🤣 Before the trip, I thought I should at least get them looking presentable. They look even more embarrassing in the photo, haha. The lengths were all different and the tips were messy, so I wanted to get them fixed up right away! So we started with a neat cleanup, then moved on to the design I chose.
Monthly nail art chosen with Designer Yunjin
Designer Yunjin did my nails this time. What I chose was one of the monthly art designs, and she tailored it beautifully to suit my nails. Above all, she worked incredibly carefully.

The design I chose has beige-pink tones with tiny heart dots, ribbon accents, and sparkling glitter. It has an overall subtle feel, so it isn’t too flashy but still has clear points of interest—I absolutely loved it. The ribbon accents were especially adorable, hehe. One finger has a heart-shaped accent and another has shimmering glitter, which looked pretty as it caught the light whenever I moved my hands. I like bold nails too, but sometimes I get tired of them after having them done; this time, the calm overall color feels like it won’t be too much even after looking at it for a while. I liked it even more once it was finished. Ta-da~

Travel nails that are easy to wear every day
All finished! Once they were done, I realized how much having neat nails can instantly lift your mood, haha. When looking into Dongtan nail salons, I tend to prefer styles that work for everyday wear rather than overly flashy designs, and this one was exactly the feel I wanted. The soft pink-beige color doesn’t make me worry too much about clothes or accessories, and the little ribbons and hearts keep it from being boring. I’m planning to take tons of photos in Okinawa, and I feel like I’ll end up taking lots of hand photos too, haha.

Price after the receipt-review discount
Even while driving home after getting my nails done, I kept noticing them and taking photos 🤣 This Dongtan nail salon’s price was satisfying too. The nail art I received came to ₩40,000 after a ₩5,000 discount for participating in a receipt review.

Considering nail prices these days, I was quite satisfied to get nail art with a design at this price. Most of all, I loved that Designer Yunjin shaped everything beautifully for my nails, so I was happy with the result.
With my Okinawa trip coming up this weekend, cleaning up my messy nails and getting pretty nail art has made me feel truly ready to go, haha. There were especially so many designs that it was fun choosing the style I wanted, and Designer Yunjin was so thorough that I’m very satisfied with this result. More than anything, looking at my hands after they were done makes me happy every time, haha. I need to take lots of photos in Okinawa and show off these pretty nails!!! Hehe
