Inside Hongdae Hwadeok Pizza at lunchtime
I visited with a friend during lunchtime, and the soft lighting gave it a warm feel — the wood-toned tables and interior made it cozy, and I got to fully enjoy the delicious wood-fired pizza in a comfortable atmosphere.
I imagine visiting in the evening would be really great for a date too — this Sangsu Station spot, Hongdae Hwadeok Pizza.

A Vesuvius volcanic stone oven baking at 400 degrees
Really satisfying — the Napoli pizza is baked quickly at over 400 degrees in an oven made from volcanic stone brought over from Mount Vesuvius in Italy, so the natural flavor of the ingredients really shines through. This Mapo-gu spot made each pizza fresh to order and baked it in an oven kept above 400 degrees, and personally, it was seriously delicious.

Quattro Stagioni pizza, 26,000 won: four flavors on one pie
The best-menu roundup at this Sangsu Station spot — Quattro Formaggi + Croccante + Margherita + Diavola all at once on the Quattro Stagioni pizza for ₩26,000.
The Quattro Stagioni pizza at this Hapjeong date spot let me taste all four pizzas harmoniously blended with dough handmade and fermented over 72 hours, fresh toppings, tomato sauce, and natural mozzarella cheese — I loved being able to try a bit of everything.

Diavola quarter
A spicy Diavola pizza with the charm of spicy, salty chorizo topped on tomato sauce, with garlic added to bring out the flavor.

Margherita quarter
The original pizza, Margherita — house-made tomato sauce, natural mozzarella, and fragrant basil bringing out both aroma and flavor. Personally one of my favorite pizzas, and I really enjoyed it.

Quattro formaggi quarter
A creamy cheese pizza, Quattro Formaggi, where you can enjoy rich cheese flavor from gorgonzola, cream cheese, Reggiano cheese, and mozzarella. Each of the four cheeses has its own charm, making for a pizza that made my mouth happy. Highly recommended for cheese lovers — the single serving is priced at ₩24,500.

Croccante quarter
A Croccante pizza with shrimp and garlic chip toppings for a crunchy texture, plus a tomato topping for a moist bite.

Best of the four: margherita, 23,000 won on its own
Personally, the best of the Quattro Stagioni pizza was the single Margherita at ₩23,000. The most Italian of the pizzas, made with quality ingredients and baked straight in the Italian wood-fired oven — an absolutely amazing recommended menu item at this Sangsu Station spot, Hongdae Hwadeok Pizza.

The single Diavola pizza at ₩23,000, where the spicy chorizo completely cuts through any richness.

Vongole oil pasta, 19,500 won
This Hapjeong date spot is also great at pasta — the Vongole Oil Pasta ₩19,500 adds garlic to fresh clams and mussels for a savory, umami-rich flavor.
Loaded generously with fresh clams and mussels, this vongole oil pasta was amazing. The noodles were cooked to a really satisfying doneness too.
