On a Friday evening after work, my husband and I wanted a nice dinner, so I went looking for a good date restaurant near Pangyo and ended up at Tobeu Nain Pangyo Main Branch. Here's my review of a place with such a cozy, warm atmosphere, and wood-fired pizza and pasta that were so good!
Where is Tobeu Nain Pangyo Main Branch, and is there parking?

Tobeu Nain Pangyo Main Branch sits in a quiet alley about a 10-minute drive from Pangyo Station. The area near Pangyo Station gets so crowded on Friday evenings, and we wanted somewhere calmer to eat at ease — this place matched our needs perfectly!
There's ample parking right in front of the restaurant, so you can just park there and walk in.

The moment we walked in, the cozy European vintage-style interior put us in a good mood :)

The giant wood-fired oven off to one side of the restaurant caught my eye, so I thought, we absolutely have to order the wood-fired pizza! And it turns out that was a very wise choice, haha.

The thick egg tarts also looked delicious and affordable at ₩4,300! A lot of people seemed to be buying them as gifts.
What the reserved window seats are like, and how to order

We had reserved ahead, so we were shown to a window seat :) From the tablecloth to the glass bottles, everything gave off this Provence-like atmosphere!

You order via a tablet at the table, and there's a wide range of menu items — steak, pasta, risotto, wood-fired pizza, and more. Tobeu Nain is open from 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM! Break time runs from 3 to 5 PM, and last order is at 8 PM.
One wood-fired pizza plus one pasta: the right order for two

As a couple, we went with a wood-fired pizza plus pasta combo, ordering like this:
- Bismarck Pizza ₩26,000
- Steak & Gorgonzola Cream Pasta ₩25,900
- Pickles and jalapeños come as the basic side dishes, with free refills at the self-serve bar!
Bismarck pizza with a soft-boiled egg, 26,000 won

The Bismarck pizza we'd been looking forward to did not disappoint — the wood-fired dough was just so good! It was a hearty pizza loaded with Tobeu Nain's own house-made jambon ham, mozzarella cheese, a soft-boiled egg, and mushrooms. The soft-boiled egg and cheese paired so well together that we scraped the plate clean! I thought this place was known for pasta, but the pizza was just as delicious.
Steak & gorgonzola cream pasta, 25,900 won

The steak and gorgonzola cream pasta came with such a generous amount of thick beef steak that we understood why it's called steak & gorgonzola pasta rather than just steak pasta, haha! It felt less like steak-as-a-topping and more like a set of steak and pasta served together. Topped with gorgonzola cream sauce, mushrooms, and arugula, it all came together beautifully.
The 2nd-floor café space and group room for 10–14

The restrooms are on the 2nd floor, so I went up to take a look around too. The 2nd floor had a similarly charming vibe, and apparently it's the floor to use if you're just visiting as a café :)

Tobeu Nain is also known as a brunch café, so you can visit just for the café menu without ordering a meal. The drink menu had distinctive options like coconut snow and matcha-fresso latte, plus dessert options like soufflé, egg tart, and Basque cheesecake. (I wanted to try the soufflé too, but they said it takes 20 minutes after ordering.)

On the 2nd floor there's also a group room that fits 10 to 14 people, which seems great for gatherings or work dinners. It's free for 2 hours if you're having a meal!
Visiting Tobeu Nain in the evening? Reserve ahead

On our way out, we noticed every table had filled up, so if you're visiting in the evening, I'd recommend making a reservation first.

I was curious about the meaning behind the name Tobeu Nain, so I asked the owner on our way out — apparently 'tov' means 'truly good' in Hebrew, and '9' represents a comma, together meaning 'a truly good pause.' True to its name, this was a cozy space where we had a truly good pause with delicious food in a warm atmosphere — I'd recommend Tobeu Nain as a date spot near Pangyo :)
