Weekend parking and what the dining room is like

I visited on a Saturday and parking was really easy to find. Weekdays get 2 hours free, and weekends are free no matter how long you stay.

Weekends seem to be more relaxed, but weekday lunches looked like they get a lot of waiting. If you're going on a weekday, I'd recommend booking ahead on Naver!

The restaurant was bigger than I expected, with a long shared table running down the middle — it would be great for a work lunch, too.

Spacious interior with a long shared table

The place is really clean.

A full serving of kimchi cheese katsu nabe

Kimchi cheese katsu nabe (김치치즈카츠나베), 12,000 won

Kimchi cheese katsu nabe comes with fresh Korean pork katsu, kimchi stew, and mozzarella cheese, so you get a warm, spicy-sweet, and soft katsu all at once — the perfect dish for the chillier weather these days 😍

Stretchy mozzarella cheese in the kimchi cheese katsu nabe

The combo of meat and kimchi cheese is rice-stealing good. Highly recommend ❤️

Pork loin katsu curry set spread

Ordered for a kid who wanted both curry and katsu at the same time: the "pork loin katsu curry set" 😉

Rich curry with thick pork loin katsu
Mini udon served alongside the katsu curry

Rich curry, flakes, thick katsu, and mini udon — a hearty, filling meal, and the kids ate it right up.

Shrimp chicken tendon and mini udon set

Next up: the "shrimp chicken tendon + mini udon set." Handmade chicken, fried shrimp, and a soft-fried egg — all made in-house at Godai — sit on top of the rice. The sauce in the middle there is the sweet, delicious handmade sauce!

Handmade sauce drizzled over the tendon

Drizzle that handmade sauce well over the rice and it turns sweet and salty, making even the rice taste amazing 👍🏻 The soft-boiled fried egg was chewy and delicious too.

Pork loin katsu and zaru soba set spread

Pork loin katsu with zaru soba set, 14,800 won

The weather's cooled down a bit but I still can't resist zaru soba! Especially paired with tempura — it refreshes and cools your mouth in the best way.

Zaru soba broth with lemon

There was lemon in the soba broth, which made it tangier and even more savory. With bits of ice floating in it, it was so refreshing 💕

A piece of katsu fried crisp

Being handmade Korean pork katsu, it was really tender. Godai Kitchen Lunch Special is clearly a tempura specialist — it was amazing how every single piece of fried food stayed crispy all the way through the meal.

Is Godai Kitchen worth it for lunch with kids?

A "sharing restaurant," a Hope Sharing Good Store 💕 Godai Kitchen Lunch Special seems to be a good business that does good deeds too. They also accept Seongnam-sarang gift certificates, which I used myself.

If you're wondering where to have lunch in Pangyo, especially with a kid, I recommend Godai Kitchen Lunch Special.
