Hanok-style exterior of the Gim Myeongju Tteuranchae Bapsang Sinjung-dong Branch building

A 3–4 minute walk from Sinjungdong Station: the hanok-style exterior

Gim Myeongju Tteuranchae Bapsang Sinjung-dong Branch is only a 3-4 minute walk from Sinjungdong Station, so it's really easy to get to. 😊

The classic yet clean hanok (traditional Korean house)-style exterior made it feel like stepping into a proper hanjeongsik (Korean set-meal) restaurant! 🏠

Decorated staircase leading up to the second-floor restaurant

Even the staircase was beautifully decorated. It felt like visiting a quiet countryside hanok, or maybe Jeju Island~! 🌿

There's a café on the first floor for guests, so head up to the second floor for the restaurant!

Parking and seating: is Gim Myeongju good for a Bucheon gathering?

Parking is available on the first floor of the building, with generously wide spacing that made it easy to park. 🚘

If it's full, parking at the nearby parking tower (Jungdong Park Town) gets you 1 hour of support.

The restaurant is really spacious, and tables can be joined together, making it perfectly suited for a Bucheon work dinner or a Sinjung-dong group gathering. 😊

With its clean, upscale atmosphere and generous spacing between tables, I'd strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a Bucheon hanjeongsik venue for a group get-together! ‼️

Partitions create a cozy, private feel! 😊 It's also perfect for a Sinjung-dong family meal out or a date.

Several private room spaces were also available. It would work great for hosting guests, a parent's 60th birthday party, a birthday celebration, an engagement gathering, or a sangyeonrye (formal meeting of both families before a wedding).

Cheonggukjang served in a stone pot

Cheonggukjang (fermented soybean stew)

Served generously in a stone pot, the cheonggukjang is the hidden gem and highlight of Gim Myeongju Tteuranchae Bapsang! 🥘

Packed with ingredients, the broth was deep and richly savory. 🥘 Rather than the typical pungent funk, it had a nutty, rich flavor that people of all ages could enjoy without complaint!

Mixing the freshly cooked warm pot rice into the cheonggukjang is an absolute rice thief. It was so good I finished every last bit.

A plate of charcoal-grilled pork
