Chewy potato takeout at Angry Potato, a Bucheon food hall fries shop

I went to check out the basement food court at Hyundai Department Store in Bucheon today and discovered Angry Potato, famous for its fries!

Looked easy to pack and eat later, so I went straight for a takeout order ~! ٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و ♡ Here's my detailed review of the chewy potato, chicken, fries, and cheese sticks I took home !! 🍟

Where is Angry Potato in Bucheon, and what are its hours?

Angry Potato Hyundai Department Store Jungdong Branch is at 180 Gilju-ro, Wonmi-gu, Bucheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, in the B1 food hall of Hyundai Department Store Jungdong Branch. Hours are 10:30–20:00, closing at 20:30 on weekends. Takeout is available, along with separate men's/women's restrooms, a waiting area, and parking.

It's located in the B1 food hall of Hyundai Department Store Bucheon! It's fairly central so it's easy to find, and it's close to Bucheon City Hall Station too, so it's a good option if you're looking for restaurants near Bucheon City Hall Station! 🚶🏻‍♀️💨

Here's the exterior of Angry Potato, a well-known spot at Hyundai Department Store Bucheon! The exterior vibe was hip and flashy, so it caught my eye even from a distance 👀

The wall mostly showcased the popular menu items! Chewy potato, fries, chicken, cheese sticks, even mini burgers !!! Full of delicious-looking options (๑´ڡ`๑)♡

Behind the counter at the Jungdong branch there are also table seats, so it looked great for eating solo or grabbing a snack at Hyundai Department Store Bucheon! Highly recommend it as a Bucheon CGV movie snack too !!

First up, the set menu! Recommended if you want to try a little of everything! The prices are reasonable too, so it's a good pick if you're after affordable takeout in Bucheon Jungdong!

And the à la carte menu! From the currently hot Chili's cheese sticks to chewy potato, fries, chicken, and ice cream !! You can also pick your own toppings and sauces, so it seems fun to customize to your taste haha

We ordered chewy potato, fries, whole mozzarella cheese sticks, and Hot Crunch Chicken to go! If you're looking for takeout spots at Hyundai Department Store Bucheon, hope this helps!

How much do the sauce containers cost?

Separate sauce containers were available for 1-compartment ₩500 / 3-compartment ₩1,000, and we added a 3-compartment one :)

There were so many sauce options too! It's self-serve, so you pump out however much you want !! You can also use it for free without buying a container, just pumping it directly !!

At Angry Potato Bucheon, cooking starts as soon as you order, so you get crispy, freshly fried fries !! It was run as an open kitchen and the cooking area was clean, so it looked hygienic too!

After a short wait, our packed potatoes came out! Each item was carefully wrapped, so it's great for taking home instead of eating right away, or even packing for a simple picnic haha

Here's what it looked like once I opened it up at home! The savory fried smell filled the whole place ㅜㅜㅜ The visuals alone practically call for beer lol (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)و 🍺🍟

Chewy potato: clumps a little as it cools

This is Angry Potato's signature chewy potato! After a little while, it did clump up a bit visually ㅜㅜ

But the flavor was still really chewy ! It had that chewiness like gamjatteok (chewy potato rice cake) while still carrying a soft potato flavor, so it was better than expected ♡

Whole mozzarella cheese sticks: back into the air fryer

And the currently hot whole mozzarella cheese sticks! Whole mozzarella is stuffed inside, so for that stretchy cheese pull texture, I ran these through the air fryer again!

The mozzarella was packed enough to fill the whole fried shell — the cheese amount was really generous!

Crispy outside and full of stretchy cheese inside — I'd recommend this one to anyone who loves cheese sticks 🧀💛

Hot Crunch Chicken: spicy, crunchy breading

Next up, Hot Crunch Chicken 🌶️ The breading had a bit of a spicy kick, so it was really delicious on its own too!

It had a chicken tender vibe and the outside was really crunchy, which I loved 🍗 Great paired with fries or chewy potato as a snack, and it'd be perfect with beer too !!

Signature fries: best eaten hot right away

Next, the signature fries! Maybe because they use clean oil, but rather than a greasy oil taste, the clean potato flavor and crispy texture really came through!

The crispiness is really at its best right when they're freshly fried, so I'd recommend eating them hot right away 🍟♡

Is Angry Potato worth ordering to go?

Overall I liked that Angry Potato let us try a little of many different menu items! Each item had a different texture and flavor, so it was fun picking and choosing haha

It's especially convenient for packing up and eating at home, so if you're looking for takeout or snacks at Hyundai Department Store Bucheon, it might be worth a visit!
