I was craving some really good meat, so I went to Hamdon Baegot! There are so many Korean BBQ spots these days, but this one had a classy atmosphere, and best of all, the staff grilled the meat for me, so I could just relax and eat haha. If you're someone who hates being too busy grilling to actually enjoy the meat, this place will really win you over ♥ Let's get into the review!

Where is Hamdon Baegot, and where do you park?
Hamdon Baegot is located inside the Avenue France building in Baegot, so it's a convenient spot if you're already in the area for a meal. Parking is available in the Purple building of Avenue France, which is good to know if you're driving.
The moment I walked in, I could see meat aging right at the entrance, which instantly boosted my confidence in how they manage their meat! 👀🥩
Booth seating at Hamdon Baegot: is it good for a date?
My first impression walking into Hamdon Baegot was how classy the whole place felt. Each table had soft, warm lighting that gave it a really nice mood haha.
What I especially liked were the partitions at each table. They're not fully separated rooms, but there's enough of a divider between tables that you don't really make eye contact with the table next to you, giving it a more private feel. That makes it a great spot for a date, or just for chatting comfortably while eating :)
Hamdon Baegot menu and what we ordered
Hamdon has a wide variety of pork dishes — pork neck, pork belly, galmaegisal (skirt meat), pork skin, and more. And it's not just meat — there are plenty of side dishes too! Stews, naengmyeon (cold noodles), steamed egg, and other dishes that go well with the meat, so you can pick according to your taste.

The menu even had Hamdon's own tips for enjoying the meat printed right on it, which was really useful to reference ><
Here's what we ordered this time!
- 504-aged teukmoksal (pork neck), 2 servings ₩34,000
- Cross-aged ogyeopsal (pork belly), 1 serving ₩17,000
- Heungguk rice, 2 bowls ₩2,000

Minari and bone soup come as standard
One thing I really liked about Hamdon was that they serve minari (water celery) alongside the meat. The fragrant aroma of minari paired really well with the pork. It was delicious just dipped in chojang (vinegar-chili sauce) on its own, so I kept picking up minari between bites of meat haha.

And another thing! Bone soup also comes included as standard, and it's not just a side broth — it's hearty enough to almost be a main dish. Seeing how generous it was, I really felt like I was getting my money's worth!
The side dishes at Hamdon Baegot, especially the scallion salad
First I checked out the included side dishes. There was a seasoned sauce for dipping the meat, shiitake mushroom wasabi, various kimchi, pickled radish, and more — all neatly arranged and perfect for pairing with the meat however you like.

Out of everything, the scallion salad was seriously delicious! Eating it with a piece of meat cut the richness and kept me going back for more haha.

Then the meat arrived, and it looked really fresh at first glance. A big mushroom came out with it too, which was also great paired with the meat.

Staff grill the pork for you, and melt jeot for dipping
But here's the part I liked most about Hamdon! The staff grill the meat for you!!! One reason people go to a BBQ restaurant is to enjoy good meat comfortably, and having someone else grill it for you made it so much more relaxing haha.
Whenever I grill meat myself, I get distracted by little things and always end up burning a piece or two lol. But since the staff grilled it for us, the meat came out cooked exactly right, full of juices and really delicious ♥
While grilling, they placed melt jeot right on the grill to warm it up — you know how good it is dipping meat into warmed-up melt jeot, right?! It really brought out the savory flavor of the meat, and I loved dipping into it haha. The staff also cut the meat into bite-sized pieces and sliced the mushroom for easy eating, so all we had to do was enjoy it.

How the 504-aged pork neck and cross-aged pork belly taste
We started with the teukmoksal (pork neck) — it was tender and juicy, really delicious. The pork belly had that signature savory pork flavor come through nicely too.

I really loved dipping minari in chojang and eating it together with the meat! The fragrant minari with the meat made my mouth feel refreshed, and it went together better than I expected.
And the bone soup I mentioned earlier! It had big chunks of pork bone with meat still attached, so it was really hearty. The broth was clean and light, making it easy to spoon down between bites of meat. With meat, rice, and bone soup together, it was a really filling meal haha.
Is Hamdon Baegot worth a visit?
The meat at Hamdon Baegot was great, but what I liked most was the staff-grilled service! Being able to eat delicious meat while chatting comfortably, without worrying about the grill, makes it a great spot for a date or a gathering.
On top of that, the minari, various side dishes, and generous bone soup made for a really satisfying meal overall. If you're looking for a good spot for aged pork neck or pork belly in Baegot, Hamdon Baegot is worth a visit :) Next time I'd love to try some of the other cuts haha.
