I'm obsessed with kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup)! This time I visited Deungchon Shabu Kalguksu Giheung Station Branch.
Where is Deungchon Shabu Kalguksu Giheung Station Branch, and when is it open?

It's right next to CGV, so it seems great for a meal before or after a movie too. It's also a pretty accessible spot if you're looking for lunch or dinner near Giheung Station.

Deungchon Shabu Kalguksu Giheung Station Branch also gives out points, which felt great for someone like me who's kalguksu-obsessed! They also run a Naver receipt review event and a Kakao channel coupon giveaway event, so check those out if you're planning to visit.

What the 30,000 won spicy mushroom kalguksu set for two includes
We ordered the spicy mushroom kalguksu set for two, ₩30,000! Being able to eat shabu-shabu and kalguksu in one go is why the Deungchon Shabu Kalguksu menu has been a favorite of mine for a while now.

As someone obsessed with kalguksu, I think Deungchon Shabu Kalguksu is the best in the shabu-kalguksu world. I've visited several branches, but the Giheung Station branch really stood out with a clean, delicious broth...! So this time too, I dug in with high expectations. If you're looking for a kalguksu restaurant near Giheung Station, this dish is worth trying.

Shabu-shabu piled with minari, plus kimchi
Can you see how much minari (water dropwort) there is? The portion is quite generous too, and with mushrooms and meat mixed in, shabu-shabu lovers should be satisfied. The kimchi was really tasty too!

For the fried rice, all you have to do is finish the soup and tell the staff — they fry it up for you, which was so convenient!

As we ate the shabu-shabu, they kept the broth simmering, so it was nice how the flavor changed little by little from the first bite as time went on. After eating a good amount of meat, they add in the kalguksu noodles! Eating shabu-shabu and then kalguksu is probably the biggest draw of Deungchon Shabu Kalguksu.

Loads of minari with mushrooms and meat — the best combination!

Dumplings with the noodles: only at the Giheung Station branch
After eating a good amount of meat, they add in the kalguksu noodles! Unlike other branches, Deungchon Shabu Kalguksu Giheung Station Branch also serves dumplings along with the noodle sari (extra portion). My husband loves dumplings so much, so this was such a nice touch!

It may not look like much, but you know this is genuinely delicious broth, right? Once you eat the kalguksu in a broth steeped with meat, mushrooms, and minari, the soup gets richer, and if you alternate a bite of fried rice with a spoonful of broth, you genuinely can't stop eating haha

Fried rice finish and a yogurt drink for dessert
I really felt like I was about to burst, but I couldn't stop my hands. I already know Deungchon Shabu Kalguksu's fried rice is good, but it was even better than usual that day!

Between the shabu-shabu, kalguksu, dumplings, and fried rice, it felt like a truly complete meal. They also give you a yogurt for dessert~ haha. Eating that last yogurt, even while stuffed, somehow made me feel happy.

Takeout discount and 2 hours of free parking at ICT Valley
Also, if you order takeout there's a discount too, so keep that in mind if you live nearby! And they provide 2 hours of free parking.
If you want to enjoy shabu-shabu and kalguksu together near Giheung Station, I recommend Deungchon Shabu Kalguksu Giheung Station Branch! I came away properly full with plenty of minari, kalguksu, and fried rice at the end :)
