Suji noodle restaurant for charcoal beef udon and soy milk noodles
In short
Chilseong Jemyeonso Suji Main Branch is a noodle restaurant on the first floor of Seohee Star Hills by Seongbok Station in Suji, Yongin. Over a weekend lunch with her parents-in-law and baby, the writer ordered charcoal beef udon (13,500 won), Chilseong spicy bibim jjolmyeon (chewy cold noodles, 9,500 won) and buckwheat kongguksu (chilled soy milk noodles, 13,000 won) with a side of fried mandu, and the restaurant brought out baby dishware and a baby chair. With easy parking and mains in the low-to-mid teens, Chilseong Jemyeonso is an easy choice for a meal with kids and parents along.

Today I want to review Chilseong Jemyeonso near Seongbok Station — easy parking and great for going with a baby. The inside is clean and there's even a baby chair, all at a very reasonable low-teens-thousand-won price range.

What is a weekend lunch at Chilseong Jemyeonso in Suji like, and is there a wait?
We went during weekend lunch time, and it was packed when we walked in — there was even a wait while we were eating, haha. Since it was a nice-weather weekend, it seemed like lots of families were coming out to eat.

Once inside, I loved that they had baby dishware neatly set aside, and the country-of-origin labeling was clearly posted too. There's a reason I'm recommending this as a Suji Seongbok Station spot :)

I went with my parents-in-law and the baby, and they were all satisfied — plus the menu is varied enough that everyone could pick something they liked :)
Chilseong Jemyeonso main menu and prices
You can check the main menu and prices in the photo :) We ordered charcoal beef udon (13.5), spicy bibim jjolmyeon (9.5), and buckwheat soy milk noodles (13.0)!

This Suji Seongbok Station spot has a baby chair too, so we could sit the baby comfortably while we ate :)

Charcoal beef udon: the bowl we drained to the last drop of broth
The charcoal beef udon came out first, and it was outstanding — full of charcoal-grilled aroma with a broth that was just excellent! My father-in-law loved it.

Fish cake, fried tofu, and a generous pile of beef brisket sat on top of the udon. The aroma of charcoal-grilled meat soaked all the way through the broth — you really don't want to leave a drop.

The spoon and chopsticks had a bit of a Vietnamese-style look, which caught my eye enough to snap a photo, haha.

How was the seasonal buckwheat kongguksu?
Then there's the seasonal summer menu, kongguksu (chilled soy milk noodles). You can choose regular or buckwheat noodles — buckwheat was about a thousand won more! We went with buckwheat soy milk noodles :)

The soy milk broth was thick and nutty, poured in generously, and it came already seasoned just right without needing to add anything. The soy milk broth was seriously nutty and delicious, haha!

True to the name Chilseong Jemyeonso (칠성제면소, meaning roughly 'Chilseong Noodle Mill'), the noodles themselves were super chewy and delicious :)

My mother-in-law had ordered it, so I stole a few bites — so nutty and savory that my chopsticks kept going back for more, haha.

Why fried mandu is a must-order side at Chilseong Jemyeonso
We also ordered fried mandu (dumplings) as a side — bursting with juice inside, crispy on the outside, such a delicious dumpling that you really must order it :)

You can even see the crispiness and juiciness in the photo, right?! Fried mandu — truly a must-order menu item.

Chilseong spicy bibim jjolmyeon: spice level and vegetables
This is the jjolmyeon (chewy noodles) I ordered!! Jjolmyeon is always delicious, isn't it — and Chilseong Jemyeonso's jjolmyeon was even better with a generous mix of vegetables!! Perilla leaves, cabbage, carrot, cucumber, bean sprouts, and a fried egg topping on top, haha.

With so many vegetables loaded in, even though it's a noodle dish, it felt more like eating vegetables than eating carbs — as a vegetable lover, I was very satisfied.

You can also choose your spice level — I went with the mildest, and it was less spicy than Shin Ramyun. Just the right level to eat comfortably!!
Chilseong Jemyeonso, a Suji Seongbok Station spot great for visiting with kids and parents! The interior is clean and the prices are reasonable, so it feels like a place you could visit anytime!
